Sportface to Add 4.2 Billion Followers

Working through arithmetic equations tonight, Sammy Sportface figured out he can increase the number of followers of his blog from the current number of 117 to 4.2 billion people if he targets content to everyone living in India, China, and South America.

There are 1.4 billion people in each of these places. 1.4 billion times 3 equals 4.2 billion. Look it up, Earnest.

This expansion plan will require that Sportface expand his understanding of other places far away from where he lives. He plans to go to his local library tomorrow morning and read at least one ChatGPT-generated article about India, China, and South America so he can write buyer personas about people there and personalize future blogs that push their buttons and make them salivate to join the Baby Boomer Brotherhood.

Over the coming weeks, Sammy Sportface will be flying business class to India, China, and South America to get to know people who live there better while giving keynote speeches at sports blogging conventions and posting blogs about Wake Forest going to the Final Four in hoops and launching a Shirley Temple business.

He’s already booked solid with podcasts in these places where he will be interviewed and expected to speak Indian, Chinese, and South American. This he won’t be able to do but his strategy is to make this shortcoming irrelevant by highlighting his outrageousness which will be sort of a distraction ploy to play up his unique selling point.

“I acknowledge the need to do some field research to get another 4.2 billion to follow me,” said Sportface. “I can’t expect every person in these places to want to follow me on Facebook unless I meet every one of them face to face. I need to get to know them and they need to get to know me. You know, we need to get comfortable with each other, establish trust.”

Sportface considered targeting people living in the Arctic Circle but when he found out only four million people live there he decided there wouldn’t be a big enough return on his investment plus he doesn’t know where the Arctic Circle is.

Sportface is timing this expansion strategy to coincide with the Summer Olympics in Paris, which he will be covering from his home office, in a Batcave somewhere in America, filled with his high school trophies thousands of miles from the action.

He believes his coverage of the swimming events will have appeal all across the world, and will amplify the content he creates and submit to SwimSwam.com, a sports media site that has an uneasy relationship with Sportface dating back to the 2012 Summer Olympics when commenters on his blogs got vicious.

“My coverage of Olympic swimming has always been an emotion stoker,” said Sportface. “People all over China, India, and South America are in for a treat following Sportface break down all things Olympic swimming including covert shenanigans unfolding day and night throughout the Olympic Village.”
