Tommy Tampa: With Loss Sunday, Brady Primed to Win Eighth Super Bowl

Read Time:2 Minute, 13 Second

Tough times for Tommy Tampa. The Saints shut him out. Losing his cool – or maybe just because he knows he’s more powerful and smarter than everyone else in football — he told the Saints coach to go do something inappropriate.

Ticked off his team was losing, he fired off a disrespectful comment to an authority figure because, well, he’s got more authority than anyone else in football.

Over on the bench, he heaved his Microsoft tablet into an equipment crate and busted the piece of equipment worth maybe $1,000 or so. No big deal; he can pay for it. He makes $1,000 per second.

The ultimate loss hater, Tommy unleashed his temper. So does everybody else, but no one’s fire burns as hot as Tommy Tampa.

So we’re now confronted with this question: Was yesterday’s pitiful performance finally the sign that this guy, the greatest quarterback of all time, has reached the end of his reign as football’s emperor and superhero? Is he losing his mental edge? Is Father Time finally telling us that physically Tommy Tampa is finished?

Be wary of this way of thinking. We’re talking about a human being that works harder at his craft than anyone else has ever worked at their crafts. An abnormal person, Tommy Tampa doesn’t care about anything as much as he does winning Super Bowls. He’s maniacal about this and maniacs are formidable.

Sure, many other pro football players would say the same thing, but the difference is Tommy has proven time and again he’s willing to sacrifice more of his life than anyone else to watch film and practice to make sure he’s the best player in the world.

Yes, in the world. Ever. Since football began. Countless years ago.

Writing off this dude as over the hill and no longer capable of winning another Super Bowl would be hasty and show you haven’t been following his work ethic closely.

Right now, Brady is working on his craft preparing for next week’s game. Other NFL quarterbacks are, too, but the difference is Tommy will outwork them no matter how hard the other guys work. You cannot out-prepare and out-work Tom Brady.

Watch. Over the next several weeks he’ll start playing better and, because they fear him, his teammates will raise their games as well.

As we head into the playoffs, you’ll see this amazing and peculiar guy start to win and win and win again. You know it’s going to happen. You’ve seen it with your own eyes.

Never, ever, bet against this cat.
