Get out. You’re too old. We’re hiring someone younger. You’re losing your mental fastball. Your health insurance costs will eat into our profits and profits are more important to us than you ever were.

You know the narrative. Old guys getting shafted. It’s a trend. It’s rampant.

You’ve watched this play out this week.

The greatest NFL coach of all time, 71-year-old Bill Belichick, can’t find a job. Nor can 72-year-old Pete Carroll, winner of a Super Bowl and NCAA college football title.

These may be down, but screw that. They’ve signed on to champion the cause of the Sammy Sportface Baby Boomer Brotherhood, Brotherhooders think like this: Make the most important contributions to the world now. Whatever you already accomplished is no longer the point. Going forward the point is to soar. Don’t let anyone tell them you’re washed up. Wash those people up.

Ever the opportunist, Sportface has seized the situation for the betterment of the human race. He asked both coaches to be national spokesmen for these values held dear by the Brotherhood. Knowing they have more to give, competitive as hell, pugnacious by nature, they refuse to be marginalized and forgotten.

“I’m jacked for my new calling in life to shout publicly all the lasting values of the Baby Boomer Brotherhood far and wide,” said Carroll. “I may not be hired as an NFL coach again, but my work going forward will be more important and lasting than any football games I won. I thought for a few days I was lost, but Sammy Sportface made me feel found. He reached out to me to join his movement. I’ve never felt more invigorated about the contributions I can make to the world moving ahead through this unique Baby Boomer Brotherhood.”

Belichick was every bit as jazzed about the opportunity to preach the gospel according to Sammy Sportface.

“I’m on to Sammy Sportface,” said Belichick. “This nation needs to hear that older men can still think, produce, motivate, inspire, and enlighten. We’re not going away. We’re here to stay and make contributions to society far more relevant than Lombardi Trophies.”

To kick off the campaign, Sportface, Carroll, and Belichick will drive around America in a Winnebago stopping at stadiums to speak and rally the Baby Boomer Brotherhood everywhere to reach higher, share more wisdom, and produce more.

“Ageism is a real thing,” says Sportface. “Older people are getting kicked to the curb like never before. It’s sad and wrong and unwise. I’m telling you, I won’t stand for this. Pete and Bill are exactly the guys to take this Baby Boomer Brotherhood into a national phenomenon like nothing else in history.”
