A man glued his feet to the ground at the U.S. Open last night, disrupting and delaying the tennis matches.
Another guy brought his hamster cage to his chair and the people next to him complained it was disturbing, noisy, and messy.
Another guy sat in his chair Indian style and recited Buddhist teachings. Another guy did a flying trapeze stunt, swinging from one side of Arthur Ashe Stadium to the other. While this went on three gigantic elephants walked across the court.
Another guy set up a makeshift lemonade stand and other vendors complained he was taking away sales of their beverages. Another guy auctioned off some of his old and musty Oriental rugs that had been cluttering up his basement the past 30 years.
“I finally had had enough and decided it was time to offload them to somebody during tonight’s US Open semi-final matches,” said Rubert Rug from Queens.
Another guy brought his Parcheesi board and played it outside the stadium with his kids. Another guy smothered himself in Scotch Tape and stuck himself to a wall outside Court 1.
Another guy brought his umbrella and started impersonating Gene Kelley’s “Singing in the Rain” dance number even though it wasn’t raining.
Another guy brought his pet iguana to the stadium and let him loose at the hot dog stand, and a bunch of kids screamed and ran away. The iguana nibbled on the hot dog bun crumbs scattered along the ground.
