RUSTON, La. – HBU’s football game against Louisiana Tech has been moved back one week and will now be played on Saturday, Sept. 26, at Joe Aillet Stadium, officials from both athletic departments announced Tuesday.
Louisiana Tech’s non-conference game against Baylor was moved to Sept. 12, which necessitated a move of the Bulldogs’ Conference USA opener against Southern Miss to Sept. 19, the originally scheduled date against HBU.
HBU is scheduled to play a three-game, non-conference schedule, all on the road, against Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) opponents this fall. The Huskies will open against North Texas on Sept. 5, followed by Texas Tech on Sept. 12, then Louisiana Tech after a week off. HBU played two FBS opponents in 2016 but will face three for the first time in program history. The Huskies will also be taking on a “Power 5” conference foe for the first time when they meet the Red Raiders.
Kickoff times and television broadcast information will be available at a later date and will be updated on HBUHuskies.com.
