Quarterfinals: #7 Aliquippa Quips (6-3) at #2 Trinity Hillers (6-4), 7:00 PM
Last week, Aliquippa crushed Ambridge 57-7 in the regular season finale to clinch a spot in the playoffs.
On Friday night, the Quips will travel south to face the Trinity Hillers in the quarterfinals of the Class 4A playoffs.
Aliquippa QB Marques Council had passed for 983 yards, nine touchdowns, four interceptions, and rushed for 190 yards. Unfortunately for the Quips, he’s out for the rest of the season.
Qa’Lil Goode is 2nd on the team with 18 receptions for 383 yards, adding 128 yards rushing and 10 total touchdowns. He took over at quarterback, passing for 180 yards and three interceptions. Josh Lay leads the team with 27 catches for 457 yards and one touchdown.
Handsome Lynn may hold the job entering the playoffs, but has just 23 yards passing.
J.J. Work has rushed for 653 yards and eight touchdowns.
Trinity is led by quarterback Jonah Williamson, who has passed for 1,394 yards, 18 touchdowns, and nine interceptions. He has rushed for 975 yards and 16 touchdowns.
Ayvari Chandler is the top receiver with 25 catches for 325 yards and three touchdowns. Braden Berdar has 18 receptions for 200 yards and seven touchdowns. Daniel Glass has 14 catches for 206 yards and three TD’s.
Owen Gardner has rushed for 1,114 yards and 11 touchdowns.
Winner of this game will face either New Castle or Montour.
