The Cowboys are no strangers to playing in the Hall of Fame Game, having made six appearances during their history. They’re back in 2020, and now we know who their opponent will be. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Cowboys will face the Pittsburgh Steelers on August 6 in Canton, Ohio.
These two teams make all the sense in the world considering what else is transpiring that weekend. Both the Cowboys and Steelers will be well represented in Canton. Former head coach Bill Cowher and safety Troy Polamalu will sport the black and yellow, while Jimmy Johnson, the man responsible for the Cowboys dynasty of the 90s, will have the blue and silver contingent of the crowd cheering him on.
Also, former safeties Cliff Harris (Cowboys) and Donnie Shell (Steelers) are a part of the 10 Seniors for the special Centennial Class to be enshrined on September 18 in Canton.
The Hall of Fame Game is the first bit of NFL football we see each season. With the Cowboys and Steelers set to square off in the 2020 addition, it’s sure to be a memorable one with several former players from each organization being honored as well.
