Kellen Moore has produced two No. 1 offenses in the last three seasons as the offensive coordinator for the Dallas Cowboys. This had made the 33-year old play-calling wizard a top candidate for several head coaching vacancies around the NFL.

Moore has had interviews with the Denver Broncos and Jacksonville Jaguars to be their new head coach. Also, the Miami Dolphins have brought in Moore as a part of their search to secure their leader for the foreseeable future. That meeting has been the most productive for Moore and his desire to be the head man of an organization, and it’s gotten him a second interview with the Dolphins.

Moore will have some competition for the Dolphins gig as San Francisco 49ers offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel and Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Brian Daboll. McDaniel will have a chance to further impress the Dolphins as his offense will be in the NFC Championship Game against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. Daboll has been orchestrating the Bills offense since 2018 so the Dolphins know him well, and his last showing in 2021, albeit in a loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the playoffs, saw his offense produce 422 yards and 36 points.

The Cowboys’ offense came up extremely short against the 49ers in the wild-card round by only putting up 17 points and falling 100 yards short of the average in the regular season. Many believed that would keep Moore from getting any head coaching opportunities. That hasn’t been the case as his name has continuously been linked to just about every available vacancy around the NFL when it comes to the head coaching role.

Moore doesn’t have much experience with just four years on an NFL sideline as a coach. However, his philosophy when it comes to producing a top-flight offense has catapulted him to become a hot commodity on the coaching circuit.
