As we get closer to the 2025 NFL Draft which is just three short months away. The Senior Bowl is going on right now we will see the game on Saturday, February 1st. This gives the players a chance to show what they got as NFL scouts will be there watching. These players could also do Pro-Day where they invite the scouts to just have a one-on-one with the player. The players can also show their talents at the NFL Combine. Each team will have multiple representatives at the Senior Bowl to evaluate what player they are looking forward to and might draft on draft night. Here are ten players to watch at the 2025 Senior Bowl.
OT Josh Conerly Jr. Oregon Ducks
We all know that the most important player on any football team is the quarterback. Conerly played in a total of 41 games and was a two-year starter at left tackle. He totaled 1,881 total snaps in three seasons at Oregon. Conerly was a solid run blocker with the ability to get out of his stance on time to help secure rush lanes. He was also good at pass protection and had efficient footwork. Conerly was a part of 438 run block snaps and 521 pass blocking snaps. He is a solid offensive lineman. His grade from PFF was 78.0 overall.
QB Jaxson Dart Ole Miss Rebels
Dart started his college career at USC and then hit the transfer portal and ended up with Ole Miss. He played three seasons with the Rebels completing 852 of 1307 passing attempts. Dart had 11.970 passing yards,81 touchdowns, and just 27 interceptions. The best aspect of Dart is he can throw the ball outside the pocket with a high level of arm strength. The things that Dart needs to work on are reading defenses post snaps and anticipating throwing lanes. That results in him struggling under pressure while inside the pocket. The Senior Ball and other events can help him get better before the draft.
RB Donovan Edwards Michigan Wolverines
Edwards played a key role in helping Michigan win the national championship in 2024. He played all four years as a Wolverine and served as a captain in 2024. Edwards finished his college career with 422 carries for 2,251 yards and 19 touchdowns. Along with his rushing success, he has 86 receptions for 797 yards and four touchdowns. He will be an asset to have because he is an overall running back. In the NFL, a running back that could also catch the ball is great.
OT Aireontae Ersey Minnesota Golden Gophers
Ersey was a three-year starter for the Golden Gophers. He excels in both run and pass blocking with his competitive toughness. Ersey used his good footwork in pass protection he took 2,341 snaps at left tackle in Minnesota’s zone-based run scheme. These types of players are important to help protect the quarterback and help the running back find holes. Ersey played in one of the top defensive conferences in the Big Ten. He scored a 77.4 overall grade from PFF.
QB Dillon Gabriel Oregon Ducks
Gabriel was teammates with Josh Conerly Jr. Conerly helped Gabriel succeed and get the Oregon Ducks to the semifinals of the college football playoff. He started his college career with the UCF Knights. He played three seasons with the Knights before transferring to Oklahoma Sooners for two seasons and ending his college career with the Ducks. Gabriel played in 64 total games and completed 1,376 of 2,111 passing attempts for 18,722 yards and 155 touchdowns. He only threw 32 interceptions.
Edge Mike Green Marshall Thundering Herd
He started his college career at Virginia. The last two seasons he was at Marshall where he played in 26 games and recorded 127 tackles, with 32 tackles for loss and 21.5 sacks. On top of that, he had two passes defensed, one fumble recovery, and four forced fumbles. Green excelled in 2024 as he led the Sun Belt Conference both in tackles and sacks. He totaled 23 tackles for loss and 17 sacks. This is a vital position at the pro level. These are the types of players that might get overlooked because they do not play in a big conference.
QB Riley Leonard Notre Dame Fighting Irish
Leonard only had one year at Notre Dame and nearly won a national championship. The Fighting Irish was one of the twelve teams that made the first college football playoff. He completed 269 of 403 passing attempts for 2,861 yards, 21 touchdowns, and just eight interceptions. On top of his passing actuates he had 184 carries, for 906 yards and 17 touchdowns. Leonard’s best aspects are his athleticism, mobility, and arm talent he can run and throw the ball. He would help any team to rebuild with him as a building block.
QB Jalen Milroe Alabama Crimson Tide
Milroe will be one of the top quarterbacks in the Senior Bowl. His start at Alabama was a rocky one but his talent came to the surface. Like many quarterbacks, he is a dual-threat style which is what the successful quarterbacks in the NFL are now. Milroe completed 426 of 663 passing attempts for 6,016 yards and 45 touchdowns and he also rushed for 1,577 yards with 33 rushing touchdowns. He has the talent to be great at the pro level.
OL Armand Membou Missouri Tigers
Membou was a two-year starter at Missouri. What makes him a good offensive lineman is his great arm length. Membou also has athletic ability, competitive toughness, and power. On top of that, he is very fast. His top speed was 20 mph which was measured on GPS. For Missouri, Membou had 1,965 total snaps at right tackle during his three seasons and 1,668 as a starter. Most look at left tackle but right tackles are just as important. Look for many teams to look at him to add to their offensive line.
DE Shemar Stewart Texas AM Aggies
Stewart had three seasons for the Aggies. He recorded 65 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, and 4.5 sacks. With those stats, he also had four passes defended, and two fumble recoveries one of those was returned for a touchdown. Stewart does have the pass-rushing production, but he has good size, length, and frame. With the NFL a mostly passing league we need defensive ends, and he would be a good one to have.
This is one cool event that college football has every year. The Senior Bowl gives players a chance to show what talent they have. There are more than just the ten that were mentioned above. These are among all the players that could have a great night in April when they hopefully get drafted. Within the ten both sides of the ball were represented. Let’s see how the game goes when it kicks off on Saturday.
