Reese’s Senior Bowl Week Begins for Hunter Long

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Former Boston College All-America tight end Hunter Long started his week of activities at the 2021 Reese’s Senior Bowl on Tuesday in Mobile, Ala. Known as the top collegiate all-star game for potential NFL prospects, Long is the 56^th Boston College player to participate in the Senior Bowl.

He is just the second BC tight end at the Senior Bowl, joining Buffalo Bills tight end and 2019 participant Tommy Sweeney.

Players went through official measurements on Tuesday. The Reese’s Senior Bowl will be played on Saturday, Jan. 30 at 2:30 p.m. live on NFL Network.

Long checked in at 6’5” and 254 pounds.

He will play for the National Team this week in Mobile, which is coached by former Boston College standout linebacker and current Miami Dolphins head coach Brian Flores.

Long has been the top receiving tight end in the nation in 2020. The New Hampshire native led all tight ends nationally in receptions (57) and ranked second in receiving yards (685).

He collected second-team All-America honors in 2020 from the FWAA, AP, Sporting News, CBS Sports, and The Athletic.

Long was the first Eagle to earn All-America honors by the FWAA, AP, and Sporting News in the same year since Luke Kuechly in 2011.
