A foursome of golfers who are members of the Baby Boomer Brotherhood were out on the links yesterday when their rounds slowed a bit so they had time to talk about a concern they all share.
They talked about how they’re getting too many blogs from Sammy Sportface and don’t have time to read them and they don’t care about swimming so skip every one of those. It’s a classic case of oversaturation leading to feelings of being overwhelmed.
They get so far behind on reading Sportface blogs that they realize it will take too long to try to catch up.
I have digested this feedback and these are my thoughts. I am not going to give you guys what you want because I have no interest in doing so. The audience comes last. I don’t care about your interests.
Your feedback reinvigorates me to continue writing about topics that I care about without one thought about what you care about.
This isn’t about you and never has been. It’s always been about me and what I want.
You tell me you don’t care about swimming. That only fuels me to write more about swimming.
You have emboldened me. You have reaffirmed I’m on the right track. The editorial mission is airtight.
