Boston College Finalizes 2020 Schedule. Set to host Texas State Sept. 26

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College announced today that it has finalized the 2020 football schedule with the addition of Texas State. The Eagles and Bobcats meet for the first time on Saturday, Sept. 26 at Alumni Stadium.

Texas State finished the 2019 season 3-9 overall and 2-6 in the Sun Belt.

The capacity at Alumni Stadium will be reduced in 2020, and the home opener against Texas State will be held without fans as a result of COVID-19. Only essential game management personnel and credentialed media will be permitted to attend on Sept. 26.

If tickets are sold in 2020, they will only be done so pending approval by state and local officials on an individual game basis.

BC’s 11-game schedule for 2020 features six home games at Alumni Stadium and 10 ACC games for the first time in school history. The Eagles open the 2020 season and Jeff Hafley era at Duke on Saturday, Sept. 19. It marks the first game against the Blue Devils since 2015 in a series that began in 1927. BC leads the series 4-3.

Kickoff times and broadcast information for all 11 games will be announced at a later date.
