
GREEN BAY, Wis. – Boston College offensive lineman Drew Kendall was selected with the 168th overall pick in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft by the Philadelphia Eagles on Saturday.
Kendall’s selection marks the 227th all-time BC player drafted and continues the streak of an Eagle hearing his name called at the NFL Draft to 11 consecutive years.
It also marks the first time since 2019 that three Boston College players have been selected in the same draft.
Head coach Bill O’Brien on Drew Kendall: “Drew is a smart, tough, dependable player with tremendous leadership qualities. His teammates unanimously voted him a team captain. Drew was the best center in the ACC. He can run block, and he can anchor the interior of the pocket in pass protection. He is a great puller in the run game and in the screen game. He is a bright guy who made all the calls up front on every play. He has a tremendous work ethic to go along with a consistent approach to his daily life. Drew will be a great pro.”
A captain and All-ACC First Team honoree, Kendall started all 13 games at center and finished career starting 31 consecutive games at the position He posted a team-best 83.1 pass block grade as well as a 76.8 offensive grade from PFF He allowed just five pressures out of 350 dropback snaps and was a key part of a BC offensive line that registered four games of 200-plus rushing yards and two games of 300-plus.
In 2023, Kendall started all 13 games at center – a total of 881 offensive snaps on the season. He took the field for all offensive snaps in 10 games, finishing with grades of 72.2 as a pass blocker and 71.3 as a run blocker by PFF. Kendall was part of an offensive line unit that paved the way for 198.8 rushing yards per game, which ranked 13th in FBS and second in the ACC.
A three-time All-ACC Football Academic team member and three-time ACC Honor Roll selection, Kendall earned his bachelor’s degree in management from BC’s Carroll School of Management in 2023 and has been working toward his MBA.

- Kendall is the 15th Boston College player to be drafted by Philadelphia and is the first since Brian Mihalik in 2015 (7th round, 237th overall)
- Kendall is the first BC center drafted since 2015 (Andy Gallik, Tennessee) and the fifth center drafted since the NFL moved to a seven-round format in 1994
- Kendall’s father, Pete, was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the first round (21st overall pick) in the 1996 NFL Draft.
