Ky Bowman Withdraws from NBA Draft
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. — Ky Bowman has elected to withdraw from the 2018 NBA Draft and return to Boston College.
“It was a positive experience to go through the NBA Draft process, workout for teams, and receive valuable feedback,” Bowman said. “I am excited to continue to pursue my dream of playing in the NBA and I know Boston College will help me achieve my goals. I can’t wait for summer workouts with my teammates as we prepare to take the Conte Forum court in November.”
The nation’s most dynamic guard, Bowman enters the 2018-19 season as one of the leading candidates for ACC Player of the Year and All-American honors. The Havelock, N.C. native is the ACC’s top returning scorer at 17.6 points per game and is the league’s fourth-best returning rebounder (6.8 RPG) and assists (4.7 APG) man.
An honorable mention All-ACC selection last season, Bowman was the only Division I player to average at least 17.6 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game. He ranked fifth in the ACC in scoring, 11th in rebounding, and eight in assists. In conference games only, Bowman was sixth in scoring (17.7 PPG), 12th in rebounding (7.1 RPG), and seventh in assists (4.6 APG).
