The right-handed closer registered a 2.84 ERA and 32 strikeouts, topping all BC relievers. His 23 appearances led the way on the Eagles staff. In the final week of the regular season, Casey tallied a win in three of four outings, entering the game when BC was either tied or trailed.  On March 29, he hit for the cycle in a victory against Massachusetts, becoming the first Eagle to do so in 14 years.

Alu, who hails from Hamilton, N.J., led the Eagles with a .331 batting average and a .342 clip in ACC action. In 48 games, the utility player amassed 55 hits, including nine doubles, 23 RBIs, 15 walks and 12 stolen bases. He ended the season with a career-long, 10-game hit streak in which he logged 13 hits, six runs, 10 RBIs and six walks while notching a .283 batting average and a .463 on-base percentage. He registered a career-high four hits in the 15-6 win at Duke on April 15 and drove in three runs three times on the year. He also stole a team-high three bases in the victory over Villanova on March 5 in Port Charlotte, Fla.

The Eagles finished the season with a 25-28 record, going 11-19 in the Atlantic Coast Conference and earning a bid to the conference’s postseason tournament for the second straight year.
