What started with the Savannah Bananas and a goal to make baseball fun and affordable for everyone, has turned into a full league. The Banana Ball Championship League (BBCL) officially kicked off this season giving the touring Banana Ball team’s a postseason and annual champion. Earlier this summer commissioner Jesse Cole announced the BBCL would expand to 6 full time teams for 2026. On October 9th, the league announced their 2026 schedule as well as the identities of the two new teams. They are, the Loco Beach Coconuts, and the Indianapolis Clowns.
The teams were announced through the schedule revealment event where each team held a short concert and performance while their cities and opponents were revealed. The Party Animals and Texas Tailgators came out first to reveal their schedules with a rap and country performance respectively.
The Loco Beach Coconuts were the first new team to be revealed. They came out with male hula dancers called the Hula-Gans and their very own Loco Beach Lifeguards. The team contains tropical themes with Hawaiian shirt jersey’s and a coconut mascot. The team will be coached by Mark Crocco and World Series Champion Shane Victorino. The Coconuts will debut in the season opener versus the Firefighters in Tallahassee, Florida on February 26th. They’ll have their first ‘home’ game in Charleston, South Carolina on April 10th versus the second new team.

The Indianapolis Clowns were revealed as the second new team as they partner with the Negro League Baseball Museum to honor a team of the same name who competed in the Negro American League from 1943-1956. The original team had great success, having famous alumni such as Hank Aaron and Goose Tatum. The team was announced by Bob Kendrick, President of the Negro Leagues, stating this as an exciting historic tribute.
“They were the first to combine high level play with dazzling entertainment… they had a fan first mentality long before anyone else,” said Kendrick.
The team will be coached by Errick Fox and former World Series Champion Ryan Howard. They’ll debut on the road in Tallahassee on February 27th versus the Party Animals. Furthermore, their home debut will be on May 15th vs the Party Animals at Victory Field in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The 2026 Banana Ball World Tour will feature 183 games across 45 states during an 8 month season. They’ll play at twenty MLB stadiums and four football stadiums this season. The playoffs will be exclusive to Grayson Stadium in Savannah, Georgia. This season, the Party Animals defeated the Firefighters in the BBCL Finale to become champions.
The ticket lottery for the Banana Ball 2026 World Tour is open right now and will close October 31st. There is one entry per person and entrants are only able to select one city. Then, participants will be emailed or texted after the deadline to then purchase tickets. Banana Ball tickets will never be available on third-party ticketing websites and all that are listed are scams.
