Landry Selected in Second Round of 2018 NFL Draft
Becomes the highest BC pick in the NFL Draft since Luke Kuechly in 2012
DALLAS, TEXAS – Boston College defensive end Harold Landry was selected by the Tennessee Titans with the 41st overall pick in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft Thursday evening. Landry was the highest pick from Boston College in the NFL Draft since Luke Kuechly was selected in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft.
“The Titans are a perfect fit for Harold,” said Boston College head coach Steve Addazio. “His ability as one of the draft’s elite pass rushers should translate well to the next level. He has positioned himself to be a major factor right away with the Titans.”

Under Addazio, Landry is the first player to be selected in the second round of the NFL Draft and the 12th BC player drafted during his tenure at The Heights. Landry is the 211th player in Boston College history to be selected in the NFL or AFL Draft.
The North Carolina native set the Boston College single-season record with 16.5 sacks in 2016 and finished second in the BC record book with 26.0 career sacks. Landry’s 47.5 career tackles for a loss rank second in BC history while his 22.0 in 2016 were second all-time in a single season.
An honorable mention All-America pick by SBNation as a senior, Landry also collected All-ACC third-team honors in 2017 after an injury-shortened season. Landry appeared in eight games as a senior and totaled 38 tackles, 8.5 TFLs, and 5.0 sacks.
In 2016, Landry was named a second-team All-American by the Walter Camp Football Foundation and the Associated Press after he led the country with 16.5 sacks.
Landry was just the third player in college football since 2014 to have three, three-sack games (Myles Garrett, Texas A&M; Derek Barnett, Tennessee) in his career.
