CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Boston College senior running back Kye Robichaux was voted the ACC Running Back of the Week as announced by the league on Monday afternoon. It marks Robichaux’s second career ACC weekly award and the fourth of the season for the Eagles.
Robichaux rushed for 198 yards and 28 carries, both career-highs, to go with two touchdowns. He opened the scoring with a 34-yard touchdown in the first quarter. For the game, Robichaux averaged 7.9 yards per carry. His 198 rushing yards are the third most by an ACC player this season, second most by an Eagle in the Syracuse series and the 30th game of 198 or more rushing yards in BC single-game history.
The Eagles overcame a Syracuse comeback for a 37-31 win on Saturday to snap a three-game losing streak.
Robichaux previously earned ACC Running Back of the Week following the Eagles’ week-nine win at Georgia Tech in 2023.
For the season, Robichaux is BC’s leading rusher with 471 yards and six touchdowns. He is averaging 52.3 yards per game and 4.7 yards per carry.
Boston College is on the road this week at No. 13/14 SMU for a 3:30 p.m. ET kickoff, Nov. 16 on ESPN. The Eagles return home on Nov. 23 to take on North Carolina on the 40th anniversary of the Hail Flutie game. BC will honor Flutie and the 1984 team at the game. Tickets are available at BCEagles.com.
