COLUMBIA, Mo. – No. 24 Boston College dropped its first game of the 2024 season, 27-21, at No. 6 Missouri.

Kamari Morales, Reed Harris, and Jerand Bradley each made a touchdown catch.
The Eagles struck first, converting from the red zone for the eighth time in 10 tries on 4th down, as Castellanos connected with Jerand Bradley for the score. For Bradley, it marked not only his first TD in Maroon & Gold but in his collegiate career. BC led 7-0 after a 14-play, 75-yard drive that chewed up almost half of the first quarter.
Missouri responded by putting three points on the board on a 38-yard field goal with less than three minutes in the opening frame, making it 7-3.
Reed Harris made it 14-3 in the second quarter, dialing up another long-distance touchdown – this time a 67-yard scoring strike – at the 9:44 mark. After another Mizzou 38-yard field made it 14-6 with 4:54 to go, the Tigers made the most of a BC turnover on the next possession. After Castellanos’ first interception of 2024, Missouri found the end zone and converting the two-point rush, knotting it at 14-14 with three minutes left in the half. The Tigers took their first lead of the game – 17-14 – connecting on a 56-yarder as time expired at the half.
Mizzou extended its lead to 24-14, finding the end zone on its first drive of the second half. The Eagles were unable to gain any momentum in the third quarter, ending both of their drives on a punt. On the first series of the fourth quarter, Castellanos threw his second pick of the game. On the next series, Missouri was able to prolong its drive thanks to two fourth-down conversions, drilling its third 3-pointer of the afternoon, making it 27-14 with under six minutes to go.
Tight end Kamari Morales and Castellanos connected on the left sideline, resulting in a 38-yard touchdown play, cutting it to six – 27-21 – with 3:45 to play. It was Morales’ second TD of the year for BC.
