What a joke. Miss America put an end to that joke that last night, the joke being that Angel Bayou Barbie Reese is seriously contending with Miss America, Caitlin Clark Kent, for the WNBA’s Rookie of the Year Award. This is a made-up argument based on nothing approaching common sense, to drive up clicks and ratings.
Miss America performed a masterpiece last night to stuff that fake debate into the dirty laundry basket, completely dominating the game from baseline to baseline, pumping in bombs from long range – it’s so beautiful to watch, dishing out dimes like it’s Thanksgiving Dinner at Miss America’s palace.
Thirty-one points and 12 assists.
Brothers, she’s a rookie. At one point Bayou Barb tried to intimidate and trash talk her and Miss America laughed at her because she knows Barbie wouldn’t be known to anyone had she not parasitically latched onto the skyrocketing fame of Caitlin Kent Clark.
When she crushes opponents into the hardwood like she did last night, they start to seek other ways to unleash their jealousies, and we see more of that unseemly humanity. Twice she got shoved extra hard moving without the ball and they were called flagrant fouls.
Then when shooting a long-range three a defender leaped into her landing space which could have injured Miss America which the players she crushes have clearly been trying to do all season so they can get the spotlights directed at them which is a futile ambition.
She got up, stuck her three foul shots, and kept humiliating Barbie and her Barby-ettes. Don’t ever foul Miss America. She’ll make every one of them.
Why? Because she’s spent much more of her life than anyone practicing to be great. I believe this to be true.
The Rookie of the Year fake debate is now dead. Now it’s on to the MVP debate. You and I know she won’t win it, and we also know she should.
Stop and think about this: She’s a rookie and the most valuable player in the entire world of basketball. We’ve never seen anyone like her anywhere. Taylor Swift with a long-range jumper. A mega superstar.
What a phenom.
