CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – After kicking off preseason camp on Saturday morning, Boston College Football picked up where they left off on Sunday, taking the field on a cooler morning for day two. The offense was a focus today, with both the ones and the twos working in a variety of route trees and play designs.
DAY TWO DETAILS

Offensive Highlights: Running back Kye Robichaux took the first carry of the first team session and converted a first down, bouncing out and accelerating up the left side. After a strong day yesterday, Robichaux continued his standout play in camp with productive reps in today’s team sessions, demonstrating clear burst in his runs. Thomas Castellanos showed off his rapport with receiver Lewis Bond, converting on two first downs in the first team session. Castellanos showed off the wheels as well as the arm, scrambling for first downs on broken plays and converting on keepers. The running back room showed up on Sunday, with Treshaun Ward exploding through the line of scrimmage in the second team session after a crisp jump cut. Datrell Jones was busy in the offense, showing off his versatility in the run game and the short pass game. Both Jordan McDonald and Turbo Richard converted on chunk plays as well. Dino Tomlin was active in the pass game, linking up with both quarterbacks, including one of the catches of the day on a leaping grab over the middle of the field. Quarterback Grayson James had a strong day throwing the ball, stringing together consecutive completions in team and 7-on-7 work.
Defensive Highlights: Edge rusher Donovan Ezeiruaku forced an early incompletion in the first team session. Ezeiruaku showed out on Sunday, disrupting the run and pass game with constant pressure in the backfield. Kwan Williams and George Rooks combined to stuff a rush at the line of scrimmage in team drills. Rooks linked up with Cam Horsely to log a sack on the first play of the second team session. Horsley joined forces with Sedarius McConnell to blow up a run play on the ensuing snap. Josiah Griffin made an impact, forcing a throwaway with pressure and stuffing a rush at the line in the second team session. Newcomers Ryan Turner and Cameron Martinez heavily impacted the final 7-on-7 session, with Martinez making two great PBUs, including a leaping deflection to prevent a chunk play down the sideline. Khari Johnson and Bryquice Brown also showed up in the secondary, including a jumping PBU from Johnson in the final 7-on-7 session.
