Every year Sammy Sportface listens to, studies, analyzes and ranks thousands of newly released songs with the goal of identifying, as the year shuts down, the five that stand out and should be listened to by every member of the Baby Boomer Brotherhood.
This year’s Top 5 songs were pumped out by hot new bands named Foreigner, Pink Floyd, Talking Heads, Christopher Cross, and Human League.
“2022 brought us several rocking ass tunes by new breakout bands,” said Sportface. “The best of all these songs is ‘Don’t You Want Me Baby’ by Human League. The lyrics are about a guy being angry his girlfriend has left him. It’s the first song ever to have that storyline and for that innovation alone it’s Number 1 for the year.”
