Russell Wilson is heading to the Denver Broncos. This blockbuster trade has caught the NFL world’s attention. The trade includes Seattle sending Wilson and a fourth-round pick to the Broncos in exchange for quarterback Drew Lock, tight end Noah Fant, defensive lineman Shelby Harris, two first-round picks (2022 No. 9 overall, a 2023 pick), two second-round picks (2022 No. 40 overall, and 2023 pick) and a 2022 fifth-round selection.

Another important trade was Carson Wentz to the Washington Commanders. The trade sends Wentz and a 2022 second-round pick to Washington while the Colts receive a 2022 third-round pick, 2023 third-round pick that can escalate to a second-rounder if Carson Wentz plays 70% of snaps and another 2022 second-round pick.

Both trades can come as a surprise to most but those in the sports world knew these were coming. Looking you might ask what team really won their trade, Indianapolis or Seattle?

The Seahawks have been behind the times offensively since the Legion of Boom. Believing in playing defense, running the football, and in the fourth quarter making Wilson perform magic that would win them the game. The 33-year-old quarterback has shown his dislike of the offensive playstyle. But now, with this trade, the team has the ammunition to rebuild. It will only work if they catch up with today’s NFL.

In a division where three teams have made the NFL playoffs with two of them facing each other in the NFC Championship game, rebuilding is a must and it’s up to them to make a drastic change.

Now let’s get to Indianapolis. The Colts, ever since Andrew luck abruptly retired, have been looking for the next best. With Phillip Rivers playing a year and acquiring Wentz through a trade with the Eagles, they have been able to find it. Owner Jim Irsay has shown his overreaction by being livid about the team losing to Jacksonville on a win and in, in the final game last season. The team lost to the Jaguars in a puzzling loss. The division has an opening for them as well. Houston and Jacksonville are in full rebuild, while Tennessee has shown some weakness without their star running back. With players like Darius Leonard, Jonathan Taylor, and Quenton Nelson the team is not in a rebuild. All they are is a few more players away from becoming playoffs contenders, even Super Bowl contenders. In my opinion, Colts have won their trade and they know the draft capital they have along with their history of drafting.
