Disenchanted with the way his life mission has been unfolding, Sammy Sportface has entered the sports blogging transfer portal.
“No one is committed to the Baby Boomer Brotherhood, no one is signing up to follow me on Facebook and, most importantly, I’m not making any money in the sports blogging business,” said Sammy Sportface. “I thought maybe I had a chance to make this happen posting my blogs in several places such as NGSCSports.com, but that’s not working out either. Ralph Jerry Garcia takes all my blogs and posts them, collects advertising revenues, and keeps telling me one day he’ll pay me for my services. But I’m suspicious that’s never going to happen. I can’t wait any longer. Old age is swallowing me up.”
As a transfer portal member, Sportface is now free to offer his sports blogging services to several hundred other sports blogging websites.
“I’m looking for one where I can start right away and write my own blogs however I want to,” said Sportface. “I think I have the experience to become a professional sports blogger who lands a big contract one day. I just need to get my sports blogging playing time where the most powerful sports blogging editors can see what I can do.”
So far Sportface has put out feelers with several other sports blogging sites to see if they’re interested in his services. They told him to send over some recent blogs he’s written to see what they think of them. After reviewing them, the feedback was universal: They all told Sportface they don’t like his blogs.
“Reaction so far has been disappointing,” said Sportface. “They keep telling me they despise my blogs and to find another career. I tell them that Rip likes them, but they tell me they couldn’t care less what Rip thinks without even asking who Rip is.”
By entering the sports blogging transfer portal, Sportface figured it would be easy to find another sports blogging site that would want to make him a starter on the sports blogging team. But so far it’s been slow-going.
“Maybe I shouldn’t send them my writing samples and just send them my Sammy Sportface Short Take audio recordings,” he said to himself. “That’ll show my versatility and may resonate more with them than the blogs, which I can see them having an adverse reaction to.”
Sammy Sportface contacted Ralph Jerry Garcia to find out if he cared that Sportface had joined the transfer portal, which means he will no longer be submitting sports blogs to NGSCSports.com.
“Sportface is a sucker,” said Jerry, the lead singer of The Grateful Dead. “He has no idea all the bank I’m making using his blogs. He’ll never know. If I were him, I would enter the transfer portal, too. He’s getting screwed working with me.”
