In the game of golf, there is beef amongst players. There were times that Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer did not like each other. Because of the era they played in, they were able to turn their games on when it came to winning golf tournaments. Tiger Woods and Sergio Garcia did not like each other. Garcia and Woods were both young and at times Garcia said that Woods got special privileges. Woods would see what Garcia said in press conferences and on social media. He would just respond by winning and when they were paired, Woods would outplay him. It would absolutely frustrate Garcia. The newest beef is between Brooks Koepka and Bryson DeChambeau. These two players are some of the current top stars on the PGA Tour. DeChambeau has taken his game to the next level with all the technology he uses.

In fact, Bryson has every one of his irons the same length instead of them being all different lengths like the rest of the players have. I am not saying that just because he is different, he is not winning. DeChambeau has eight tour wins that include a 2020 U.S. Open win. That means he has one major win. The U.S. Open is one of the hardest majors to win. He seems to get under the skin of some of the tour players. The media picks up on this. Maybe the only golfer that is hated more on tour is Bubba Watson. I think many players do not like him because he is too scientific with his game. The one he rubs the wrong way is Brooks Koepka. Koepka cannot stand him. DeChambeau knows this and he just plays along with it.

Brooks Koepka has four majors wins. He won back-to-back U.S. Opens and PGA Championships. The years he won his U.S. Opens were 2017 and 2018 and the PGA Championships in 2018 and 2019. He has also been the world number one which DeChambeau has never been. Koepka finished tied for second at this year’s PGA Championship which was won by Phil Mickelson. Mickelson set a record as the oldest major winner at the age of 50. Brooks was doing an interview after the tournament and the first thing he complained about was the crowd was not controlled on the final hole when he and Mickelson were paired together. As the interview was going on DeChambeau walked by in the background. It made Koepka angry calling him a f”””ing a””hole. DeChambeau got word of it and said he is not surprised.

He responded by saying he is not surprised that Koepka would say that about me. DeChambeau said, “I beat him where it counts on the golf course.” Golf fans want to see them paired together. Till this point, we have not seen it. I am wondering what would happen if that occurred. The beef will continue between the two because they plain and simply do not like each other. I want to see them paired together in the final round of a major where both are trying to win. Their caddies do not like each other either. They have also fired shots at each other which is stronger and has more muscles. DeChambeau and Koepka both have muscles and hit the ball a long way. I think that this makes golf exciting that we have two players that are good that do not like each other.
