Belichick to Brady: “You Heaved 3 Lousy Pics and Embarrassed Yourself”

Ever since the Tom Bradys clinched a berth in this year’s Super Bowl, Patriots coach Bill Belichick has been hunkered down in his office studying Brady’s performance and statistics in the NFC title game.

He’s also watched the game film over and over as well as every other game Brady played this year. He goes to his computer, opens his email, and starts typing.

Dear Johnny Foxboro,

You’ve sure got a lot of pent-up frustration inside you. Always knew you were soft. Clearly, you need to rid yourself of your demons about me and how I treated you, which was the same way I treated every other player on the team. You were nothing special. I was special and that’s why the Patriots won six Super Bowls.

Hey, by the way, I’ve been studying your performance in the NFC championship game, as well as your season statistics with your new team.

Have to say, Johnny Foxboro, your numbers don’t look so good, the worst you’ve ever posted in a conference championship. I never would have allowed you to play too poorly.

Three pathetic interceptions – and in one half. On one of them, you completely bailed out because you were afraid to get hit and chucked a duck up in the air. I like tough players and you showed on that play that you’re scared of contact. I could find a Johnny Foxboro in the local high school league here who could make a better play than that, show more courage.

Your quarterback rating for the game was an anemic: 75.4. Thought I’d share with you the list of 19 quarterbacks who had higher quarterback ratings than that this season.

Aaron Rodgers 94.56

Patrick Mahomes 92.94

Russell Wilson 88.18

Josh Allen 85.76

Drew Brees 85.32

Dak Prescott 85.16

Matt Ryan 84.68

Deshaun Watson 84.40

Ryan Tannehill 84.12

Kyler Murray 84.10

Derek Carr 82.10

Ryan Fitzpatrick 81.80

Kirk Cousins 81.16

Justin Herbert 78.82

Teddy Bridgewater 77.40

Ben Rothlisberger 76.78

Kyle Allen 76.48

Lamar Jackson 76.02

Just think, Johnny Foxboro, in the biggest game on your new team you performed worse than 19 other NFL quarterbacks did during this season.

You choked. You got lucky. Your team’s defense bailed you out, and if they didn’t you would’ve been the guy everybody blamed for blowing the game.

You were unimpressive. You haven’t impressed me with your football play for many years. I’ve known for several years that I wanted you off my football team and the only reason I had to keep you was because of your cozy relationship with Kraft.

I wanted you gone years ago. I’m sure you’ll embarrass yourself with your lame game in the Super Bowl.

All the best.

Coach Belichick

The coach walks down the hall and enters the office of the team’s owner, Robert Kraft.

“I told you I was right about Brady. I studied his numbers in the NFC title game and watched all the film on him for this year and I am so glad I cut that guy. I also know that I would have won several more Super Bowl titles had you let me cut him many years ago when I wanted to. You held this franchise back by being buddy-buddy with Brady. You blew your chance. Had you listened to me years ago when I wanted to cut him, I would have won 11 or 12 Super Bowls.”

“What are you doing watching film of Brady and analyzing his stats?” asks Kraft. “He’s not your quarterback anymore, you schmuck. Here’s what I know: He’s going to the Super Bowl and we’re not. That’s on you. It tells me he’s the biggest reason we won six Super Bowls and not you. Now get back to work on your own team and win me another Super Bowl or I’ll fire your ass.”
