Disinformation spilled all over the pages and weekly video shows of NGSC Sports as speculation escalated that the owner of sports behemoth, Ralph Garcia, was the guy named Sammy Sportface posting blogs about all sorts of things that make not even one scintilla of sense.
“Let me put this hot mess to rest right here and now,” said Garcia. “I’ve never have been and never will be Sammy Sportface. He’s not who I am nor what I stand for. Stop all the rumors. Sportface is some has-been low-life nincompoop and I don’t want readers of NGSCSports to ever associate my name with that creepshow ever again.”
All this controversy blew up this week during the NGSCSports hit TV show about baseball nuances called “In The Batter’s Box.”
An impostor appeared on the show saying he was the real Sammy Sportface, but one of the show’s regular guests said “No way, I think you’re Sammy Sportface, Ralph. This guy on the show tonight, whoever he is, is a fraud. He’s wearing a coat and tie. That’s now how any of us envisioned him looking. I’m not buying this charade. This guy is not Sammy Sportface. You, Ralph, are Sammy Sportface.”
This accusation has caused quite a stir around the sports world with some people such as Tiger Woods and Brooks Koepka claiming they know who the real Sammy Sportface.
“Sportface is legit,” said Tiger. “He wrote a book, Hit Upon God, that made me see the light in the tunnel right before you go to Heaven. My entire life has been resurrected because of the lessons I learned from reading that inspirational book. The day after crashing into the fire hydrant in my driveway when scurrying away from my former wife who had just found about my 3,000 mistresses, Sportface sent me a copy of the book and it changed my whole world view.”
Others are not buying the Sportface sensation such as Stephen A. Smith.
“Sammy Sportface is spectacularly stupid and I’m seriously serious,” he said. “There’s no way that Gordan Gecco guy on ‘In in the Batter’s Box’ was Sportface. That’s preposterously preposterous.”
One positive about all this is that the mystery surrounding who the real Sammy Sportface is has elevated the number of visitors to the NGSC Sports site.
“Our viewers per day have spiked since the show aired earlier this week,” said Garcia. “That’s what I care about most. This whole mystery about the real identity of Sammy Sportface is drawing more eyeballs to our site. Controversy and intrigue sell.”
Garcia then sent an email to Sportface:
Dear Sportface,
Who are you, man? Was that really you on the show earlier this week? That coat and tie look was meant to throw us off, right? We figured you were some nerdy bespectacled loser with checkered pants and lots of acne.”
Sportface faxed him back:
You can’t fool me, Ralph Garcia. I know who the real Sportface is and I’ve known all along. It’s you. It’s time to come clean with the sports world that Ralph Garcia is Sammy Sportface. You owe it to your readers and advertisers to be upfront about who you really are. Stop all the deception. And stop accusing me of being Sammy Sportface. It’s not good for my personal branding.
