Addazio, Dillon and Karafa Set for ACC Kickoff

BC trio meets the national media Wednesday in Charlotte

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The unofficial start to the 2019 football season begins on Wednesday for Boston College at the 2019 ACC Football Kickoff at The Westin Charlotte in Charlotte, North Carolina.  Boston College head coach Steve Addazio along with senior defensive tackle Tanner Karafa and junior running back AJ Dillon will represent the Eagles during this week’s ACC Football Kickoff.

BC’s contingent will join the other Atlantic Division head coaches and student-athletes on Wednesday at The Westin.

The head coach and student-athletes from each school will be in the press conference together in Grand Ballroom C/D. Press conferences will begin with questions for the offensive player, questions for the defensive player and then questions for the coach. The press conferences will be streamed live on ACC Network Extra, theACC.com and Facebook Live.

Coverage on ACC Network Extra will run 10 a.m. – 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. ESPNU will air its ACC Football Kickoff coverage from The Westin from 4-6 p.m.

SiriusXM ACC Radio channel 371 will be live from The Westin from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Wednesday. BC fans can tune in between 1:45 p.m. 2:15 p.m. to hear from the BC contingent.

Please Note: No live streaming from any entity will be allowed in the press conference room or the writers’ breakout room.

ACC Advanced Media will provide video content from the 2019 ACC Football Kickoff. This video content will consist of press conference interviews from head coaches and student-athletes of each school, as well as the Commissioner’s Forum and event b-roll. Please note that to access this content, media outlets will need to secure an account on the ACC Video Clip Service (AVCS). This is a free service that allows subscribers to download the media day content.

PHOTOS FOR MEDIA USE

The ACC uses Photo Shelter as the host site for its logos and photos. If you would like access, please complete the following process.

  • Go to http://acc.photoshelter.com
  • Select “Log in” from the main menu
  • Click on “sign up for a free account”
  • Complete the requested information and click on “Sign Up”
  • Look in your email account (the one you registered) for a welcome email. Use the link in that email to activate your membership. Sign in using the password you created.

Once you have activated your account, it will need to be processed by our staff. We will send you a notification email (from [email protected]) once your access is verified. We will make every effort to do so within 24-48 hours during the week.
