Chris Lindstrom Named ACC Co-Offensive Lineman of the Week
Senior graded out as BC’s top offensive lineman in the win over UMass
GREENSBORO, N.C. – Boston College senior right guard Chris Lindstrom was voted ACC Co-Offensive Lineman of the Week as announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon. For Lindstrom, who shared the honor with Clemson’s Tremayne Anchrum, the honor was the second weekly award of his career from the ACC.
In a 55-21 week one victory of Massachusetts, Lindstrom made his 36th consecutive start and was on the field for 65 snaps as the BC offensive line paved the way for 598 yards of total offense; the most by the Eagles in the Steve Addazio era. On the ground, Boston College rushed for 272 yards, including 176 in the first half. Lindstrom and the o-line kept BC’s trifecta of quarterbacks, including starter Anthony Brown, upright the entire game by not surrendering a sack.
Leading into the season, Lindstrom was named to the ACC preseason team. He was also recognized as a preseason All-American by Athlon Sports and is included on the Outland Trophy watch list. Lindstrom, who was an All-ACC second-team selection in 2017, previously earned Offensive Lineman of the Week honors following the Eagles’ win at Louisville (10/14/17).
Boston College is back in action at home Saturday at 1 p.m. as it restores its rivalry with intrastate foe Holy Cross.
