QUOTES

Defensive Back Lukas Denis
On the defensive back group:
“It’s a great honor to have coach Campanile back there and really coaching us up. He’s putting us through drills that are always preparing us for the games. He does a really good job of being hard on us and also teaching us the different sides of the football and technique and how the offense thinks. We had great corners and a great secondary last year, but we have two guys that are ready to step in and we’re excited for that. Hamp Cheevers and Mehdi El Attrach are ready to go. Nolan [Borgersen] came over from the offensive side of the ball to help the defense and is doing a great job. We’ve got some younger guys; Mike Palmer…really athletic, really long, really fast. Very smart player too. Every guy back there is ready to learn and ready to work. We’ve got Brandon Sebastian; a really fast corner, physical. We’re excited for him and all the guys back there.”
Defensive Back Will Harris
On his leadership role as a senior:
“I’ve always been one of the guys to be vocal on the team so whatever I can do to enhance that role and improve in that role, I’ll focus on that.”On the recent run of talented safeties at BC:
“Those guys definitely set the bar. First with Justin [Simmons] then John [Johnson]. They pretty much set a culture in our locker room. Set a culture especially with our DB group and every DB, whether it’s a corner or a safety, that anything below that bar is unacceptable. We’re just trying to uphold to that and let the rest take care of itself.”

Tight End Tommy Sweeney
On the ability and depth of the wide receivers:
“These are guys that have been playing for a long time. Jeff Smith, Mike Walker it’s their fourth year playing. Elijah Robinson is a senior, he’s been around for a while. Kobay [White], he’s a redshirt sophomore, but he’s been around. He had a great year last year. They’re all so good just to name a few. I also think there are some talented young guys.”
