Boston College Football Announces 2018 Recruiting Class

20-player class features 17 high school captains

 

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College finished its 2018 football recruiting class with 20 student-athletes who have signed to continue their education and football career at The Heights. The class features two mid-year enrollees who have already started classes at Boston College – freshmen linebackers Vinny DePalma and Joseph Sparacio.

Nineteen of the 20 student-athletes who signed with the Eagles did so during the early signing period in December. The lone addition to the signing class today was cornerback Tyler Days of Mattydale, N,Y.

Overall, the recruiting class features 17 players who were captains of their high school team and eight players who won a state championship during their high school career.

Sixteen of the 20 student-athletes hail from either New England or the Mid-Atlantic.

Boston College begins spring practice on Tuesday, February 27 at Alumni Stadium. The Eagles close out spring ball with the annual Jay McGillis Memorial Spring Game on Saturday, April 14 at Alumni Stadium. The spring game will be broadcast on ACC Network Extra via WatchESPN and the ESPN app.
