The University of Tampa Spartans hosted the Warner Royals at home. On Country Night at Tampa Baseball Field. In the game, it started like most of the Spartans’ games as they got the board early. As the game shifted to the middle innings, the 10-run rule was about to happen. That is, until the fourth inning, after the Spartans took out their starting pitcher and the Royals scored seven runs. With that seven-run inning that got within one run, that would be the closest they would get to the lead. The final three runs were scored by the Spartans, and they finished with an 11-7 win for UT. The win was the 23rd in 2026. They now hit the east coast of Florida to play Embry-Riddle Eagles in Daytona Beach, Florida.
Game One
This was the first of two games that were tight for the Spartans. Going into the final three innings, UT trailed by two runs. Where the game shifted is the four runs scored in the seventh, and the Eagles scored one run. The aspect that hurt the Eagles was the three fielding errors that they committed. Once again, just like in the Warner game, they used the triple to flip the scoreboard in their favor. The bullpen for UT once again slammed the door and moved its conference record to 7-0. The final score was 10-9
Game Two
This was game one of a doubleheader. This was just like game one was tight. As the game went to the final three innings, it was 4-1. The Eagles scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh, getting the game to 4-3. For the second game in a row, the bullpen stopped Embry-Riddler from scoring the tying and winning run. Despite giving up six hits, B.J. Bailey pitched six innings, gave up one run, one walk, and nine strikeouts. Tobin Moran pitched the final three innings and gave up the last two runs for the Eagles b, but slammed the door g, giving the Spartans a 4-3 win.
Game Three
This was the only game of the series that was not close. The Spartans scored three runs in the top of the second inning. There would not be another run scored until the top of the seventh inning, whenT scored two more runs. They added another one at the top of the eighth, totaling six runs. Both teams totaled six hits, and the one bad element was a fielding error for the Eagles. John Luke Glanton, the starting pitcher for UT, gave up five hits with two walks and seven strikeouts. With a 6-0 win t, they increase their conference record to 10-0.
As the calendar shifts to April t, the University of Tampa Spartans only lost three games. This team had games that were close in the end, and they showed that they are a dominant team. UT used pitching and hitting to never put them out of coming back or dominating right off the rip. They will start the month of April at home versus the Florida Southern Moccasins. This will be the first time in 2026 that these two teams will meet. Game one will be themed Alumni and Little League Night.
