Western Pennsylvania is home to some of the best high school football in the United States. The WPIAL is well known for producing many of the greatest players in the history of football, including George Blanda, Mike Ditka, Aaron Donald, Tony Dorsett, Bill Fralic, Ty Law, Dan Marino, Joe Montana, Joe Namath, and Darrell Revis among the most legendary.

Aliquippa Quips Report
WPIAL Championships (20) | PIAA Championships (5)
The Quips are off in Week Zero, and will open their season next week when they travel to Belle Vernon.
Aliquippa is coming off a season that didn’t include an appearance at the WPIAL Championship Game, as they lost to eventual champion Thomas Jefferson in the semifinals.
The last time the Quips didn’t compete for a championship was 2007, when they lost in the semifinals to Terrelle Pryor and Jeannette.
Mike Warfield returns as head coach after taking a leave of absence last season, and the Quips will undoubtedly be looking to start a new Championship Game streak behind a group of talented and very motivated players.
