O’Brien, BC Football Ink 27 on National Signing Day

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College head football coach Bill O’Brien announced the signing of his first recruiting class during Wednesday’s early signing period. O’Brien and the BC staff signed 27 future Eagles to National Letters of Intent; the largest signing class at Boston College since a 30-player class in 2014.

O’Brien inked 12 players on offense, 14 from defense and a punter/kicker from Ireland; one of two international signings. Locally, BC brought in five players from the state of Massachusetts in a class that represents 14 states.

“This is an exciting day for us to announce the 2025 Boston College recruiting class for football,” stated O’Brien. “It is a class of what we believe are high-character guys, talented guys, guys that understand the mission of Boston College.”

Stevie Àmar Jr.

Oxnard, Calif. • Oaks Christian School

A 6-foot-3 tight end out of Oaks Christian School in California, Stevie Àmar Jr. racked up just under 1,000 receiving yards with 14 touchdowns on 81 receptions over his final two high school seasons, garnering first-team all-county and all-league selections as a junior. The Oxnard, California native comes in as a top-60 tight end in the class (247Sports).

Micah Amedee

Micah Amedee, a 6-foot-4 defensive tackle out of Xaverian Brothers High School, arrives at BC as a top-five recruit from Massachusetts (247Sports & On3), and as a top-100 recruit nationally at his position (247Sports). The Halifax, Massachusetts native was a member of the 2023 MA D1 State Champion Xaverian team, when he earned second-team all-state honors. Amedee logged over 40 tackles with seven sacks and 12 tackles-for-loss as a senior in 2024.

Nedrick Boldin Jr.

A wideout hailing from West Palm Beach, Florida, Nedrick Boldin Jr. comes to Chestnut Hill as a top-100 recruit nationally at his position (247Sports & On3). Boldin Jr. hauled in over 100 receptions over his final two seasons at Palm Beach Central High School, tallying 19 total touchdowns and over 1,100 receiving yards in that stretch. As a junior, he earned first-team all-county honors and was a nominee for District Player of the Year.

Kaelan Chudzinski

A local product out of St. Sebastian’s School in Massachusetts, Kaelan Chudzinski is a two-time All-ISL selection. The tight end racked up over 1,000 receiving yards with 14 touchdowns on 79 catches over his final two seasons. The Needham product also earned a NEPSAC All-New England Honorable Mention as a senior in 2024. Chudzinski is the son of BC senior analyst Rob Chudzinski.

Charleston Coldon

Belleville, Ill. • Althoff Catholic

Charleston Coldon, a cornerback out of Belleville, Illinois, comes to BC as a top-30 overall recruit from his state (247 Sports). Coldon logged at least three interceptions in each of his final two seasons at Althoff Catholic High School, recording 66 tackles over that span. He also tallied over 1,800 all-purpose yards with 27 touchdowns on offense over his final two high school seasons, and earned All-State honorable mention honors as a senior.

Griffin Collins

A 6-foot-4 linebacker out of Worcester Academy in Massachusetts, Griffin Collins arrives at BC as a top-ten overall recruit in the state (247 Sports & On3). The Longmeadow, Massachusetts native tallied over 50 tackles over his final two seasons, adding five interceptions in that time. Collins also logged 493 all-purpose yards and eight touchdowns on offense as a senior, when he was named All-NEPSAC and All-Evergreen, finishing as a finalist for Defensive Player of the Year.

Ashton Cunningham

Ashton Cunningham, a cornerback hailing from Tulsa, Oklahoma, comes to the Heights as a top-25 overall recruit from the Sooner State (247Sports & On3). Over his final two high-school seasons at Union High School, Cunningham recorded over 60 tackles, with three interceptions, 14 pass-breakups, a blocked punt, blocked field goal, and a pick-six. He also shined in track, medaling in the 100-meter and 200-meter at states during his junior year, and won the Oklahoma indoor 60-meter championship in February 2024, running a 6.95.

Omarion Davis

A safety out of Indian Land High School in South Carolina, Omarion Davis comes in as a top-20 overall recruit from the state (247Sports & On3), and a top-50 recruit nationally at his position (247Sports). The Charlotte, North Carolina native tallied 161 tackles over his final two high school seasons, adding five forced fumbles, four interceptions, and two fumble recoveries. Davis garnered All-State honors as a senior and was nominated for the Bronko Nagurski Defensive Player of the Year award, earning an invite to the Carolina Shrine Bowl, reserved for the 44 best players across NC/SC.

Mekhi Dodd

West Roxbury, Mass. • Catholic Memorial

A running back out of Catholic Memorial High School, Mekhi Dodd checks in as a top-10 overall recruit from the Bay State, and top-100 nationally among all running back recruits (247Sports & On3). The West Roxbury native carried the ball 84 times as a senior, rushing for over 1,000 yards with 17 rushing touchdowns, while adding five catches and a touchdown through the air.

Semaj Fleming

Orlando, Fla. • Edgewater

Semaj Fleming, a wide receiver out of Orlando, Florida, tallied five touchdowns as a senior at Edgewater High School, where he was named Preseason First-Team All-Central Florida. Fleming was named Wide Receiver MVP at Orlando’s Under Armour Camp in 2024, and also competed in track with regional-qualifying times in the 100-meter and 200-meter.

Jayden Fry

A 6-foot-2 defensive end out of Raleigh, North Carolina, Jayden Fry arrives at BC as a top-30 overall recruit in the state (247Sports). Lewis garnered all-region honorable mention honors in 2024. Lewis’ father Tim is the Boston College defensive coordinator.

Bo MacCormack

A local running back out of Westford, Massachusetts, Bo MacCormack finished his high school career as the all-time leading rusher in Massachusetts state history, racking up 6,699 career rushing yards, with 100 career rushing touchdowns. As a senior, he rushed for 1,625 yards, earning him the league MVP award, and nods to first-team all-league, and first-team all-conference. As a junior, he logged over 2,100 all-purpose yards and was named NEPSAC Class A Player of the Year. MacCormack comes in as a top-ten overall recruit in the state (247Sports & On3).

Israel Oladipupo

A 6-foot-3 defensive end out of Noblesville, Indiana, Israel Oladipupo arrives at BC as a top-30 overall recruit from the state (247Sports & On3). Over his final two years at Noblesville High School, he racked up over 130 tackles with 12 quarterback hurries and 14.5 tackles-for-loss. Oladipupo added 217 rushing yards and seven scores on offense as a senior. As a junior, he was honored with the Primetime Top-25 Award at the Indiana High School Football Griddy Awards.

Dawson Pough

Dawson Pough, a wide receiver hailing from Leesburg, Virginia, enters as a top-35 overall recruit from the state (247Sports & On3), winning consecutive Offensive Player of the Year Awards in his district in 2023 and 2024. As a junior, Pough caught 58 passes for 934 yards, accounting for 14 total touchdowns with two interceptions on defense. That year he earned first-team nods to each of the all-state, all-region, all-county, and all-district teams. As a senior he accounted for over 1,700 all-purpose yards with 30 total touchdowns.

Shaker Reisig

The quarterback of the Class of 2025, Shaker Reisig comes in as a top-25 overall recruit from the state of Oklahoma. As a senior at Union High School, Reisig completed 207 of 290 passes for over 2,800 yards with 33 touchdowns. He threw for at least 2,300 yards and 25 touchdowns in both ‘23 and ‘22, and in week eight of this past season, Reisig set single-game records with eight passing touchdowns and 506 passing yards.

Sterling Sanders

A 6-foot-3 defensive tackle out of Blythewood, South Carolina, Sterling Sanders enters as a top-30 overall recruit in the state (247 Sports). In his 2024 season at Blythewood High School, he racked up 40 tackles, 16 tackles-for-loss, 5.5 sacks, and 23 quarterback pressures, to go along with one rushing touchdown. Sanders garnered Preseason All-State honors and was named to the Preseason Mr. Football watch list.

Njita Sinkala

Njita Sinkala, a cornerback from Headingley, Manitoba, Canada, and product of St. Thomas More School in Connecticut, comes in as a top-20 overall recruit from the Nutmeg State (247Sports & On3). Sinkala logged over 40 tackles in 2023, and added five tackles and one interception in three games in 2024. Sinkala was also named team captain in 2024.

Robert Smith IV

A 6-foot-3 offensive lineman out of Cleveland, Ohio, Robert Smith IV arrives as a top-25 overall recruit from the state (On3). Smith played high school ball at Villa Angela – St. Joseph School in Ohio, where he was named first-team all-district.

Rae Sykes Jr.

A 6-foot-1 safety out of Rome, Georgia, Rae Sykes Jr. logged over 100 tackles over his final two seasons at Rome High School, earning all-region honors in consecutive seasons. Last season, Sykes tallied 63 tackles with two interceptions, two tackles-for-loss, and one fumble recovery, claiming Defensive Player of the Year honors for his region, and helping his team win their fourth straight regional title.

Zacari Thomas

Macon, Ga. • Jones County

Zacari Thomas, a linebacker out of Macon, Georgia, comes in with over 80 tackles over his last two seasons at Jones County High School, tallying 16 tackles-for-loss, five sacks, and 21 quarterback hurries in that time. Thomas earned all-region honors in 2023, and in 2024 he added over 1,000 all-purpose yards with 15 touchdowns on offense.

A defensive back out of Dallas, Georgia, Marcelous Townsend set the school record for interceptions in a single season in 2024 at Blessed Trinity Catholic High School. Townsend garnered consecutive all-region honors in 2023 and 2024, during which time he logged over 50 tackles and seven interceptions.

Marcus Upton

Marcus Upton, a safety out of Sicklerville, New Jersey, comes in as a top-20 overall recruit from the state, and top-50 nationally at his position (247Sports & On3). Over his final two seasons at Winslow Township High School, Upton racked up over 120 tackles, with seven interceptions, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries. He also stood out on offense, logging over 1,000 all-purpose yards in his last two years, adding 13 receiving touchdowns. Upton was named first-team all-defense for his division in 2024.

In 2023, Williams Jr. was named first-team all-league, second-team Lower Hudson Valley, and earned an All-State honorable mention.
