Boston College Baseball Drops Midweek Game at Northeastern

BROOKLINE, Mass. – The No. 17 Boston College baseball team lost to Northeastern, 6-2, at Friedman Diamond on Tuesday afternoon. The Eagles dropped to 14-4, while the Huskies improved to 13-4.

NU grabbed the lead in the bottom of the first on a bases-loaded sacrifice fly and never looked back. The Huskies added two in the second and three in the fifth on a home run by designated hitter Alex Lane.

The Eagles, who left seven runners on base, were outhit, 8-3. Both BC runs came with five free passes earned with two outs in the sixth. Senior shortstop Vince Cimini (Scranton, Pa.) accounted for two of the team’s hits in a 2-for-3 day.
