The NBA is a league filled with generational athletes. Incredible physical specimens that are incredibly fast, strong, tall, and agile. These players are some of the most talented athletes in the world and are naturally rewarded quite handsomely for their unique abilities. NBA players are some of the highest-paid athletes in the world of sports, with annual contract amounts that boggle the mind.

NBA betting is extremely popular, with fans flocking to their favorite sports betting sites to wager on their favorite players and teams. The league also brings in huge amounts of money in TV deals and tickets. Naturally, the league makes a ton of money, and the players have earned their right to huge salaries by heavily contributing to this. Let’s look at the ten NBA players with the highest salaries for the 2022-23 NBA season.

Stephen Curry: $48,070,014

The highest-paid player in the league is a deserving recipient of this honor. Stephen Curry is the reigning Finals MVP and the architect of the greatest dynasty in basketball over the past two decades. He has won four championships with the Golden State Warriors, has taken home two MVP trophies, and is still adding to his accolades. He is, without a doubt, the greatest shooter ever and continues to lead his team.

Russell Westbrook: $47,063,478

When the Los Angeles Lakers traded for Russell Westbrook, there were some questions about how it would work out. Few could have seen it going this terribly. The second-highest-paid player in the league is now coming off the bench for a Lakers team that looks hopeless. Still, Westbrook has had an incredible career, winning an MVP, and is the all-time leader in triple-doubles. His contract comes off the books after this year.

LeBron James: $44,474,988

There can be a very convincing argument made that LeBron James is the greatest to ever play the sport. The four-time champion and four-time MVP is still going strong in his 20th year in the league and is well worth his staggering salary. However, team success has been hard to come by in the past few years, as the Lakers have struggled to put a consistent team around their star player.

Kevin Durant: $44,119,845

Expectations were high when Kevin Durant signed his massive contract with the Brooklyn Nets. To say things have gone worse than expected is an understatement. The team has been surrounded by controversy in recent years; they have yet to advance to the Conference Finals and are off to a horrid start to the year. Yet Durant just continues to shine and is worth every penny of his contract as one of the top scores to ever play.

Bradley Beal: $43,279,250

Bradley Beal is an offensive weapon, a deadeye shooter with two 30-point-per-game seasons on his resume. The Washington Wizards have rewarded their home-grown star with a massive contract, and even though trade rumors are never far from Beal, he remains the leader of this franchise. Injuries have hindered him in recent years, but he remains a star.

Damian Lillard: $42,492,292

Damian Lillard and the Portland Trailblazers are synonymous at this point. Lillard is committed to his team in an age of super teams and star team-ups. He has signed multiple massive contracts with them, and while they have yet to make an NBA Finals together, Lillard is the heart and soul of the team. He remains one of the most dangerous scores in the entire league.

Giannis Antetokounmpo: $42,492,492

Giannis Antetokounmpo might be the best player in the NBA right now, and his value to the Milwaukee Bucks even exceeds his lofty contract. He is a two-way terror that has dominated the league for the past several years, culminating in his historic NBA Finals performance that brought a ring back to Milwaukee. He is a defensive menace, one of the most overpowering offensive players in the league, and currently has the Bucks looking deadly.

Kawhi Leonard: $42,492,492

Kawhi Leonard signed with the Los Angeles Clippers with much fanfare after winning a championship with the Toronto Raptors. However, things haven’t always worked out. Leonard has navigated injuries throughout his time in LA, and even this year, in his supposed return, he has sat out more games than he has played. He is still an offensive threat with a deadly mid-range and is one of the best defenders in the game.

Paul George: $42,492,492

Paul George signed a matching contract to Kawhi when he joined the Los Angeles Clippers in the same offseason. He has been a more consistent presence on the court, although he, too, has battled injuries. Still, George is a silky-smooth scorer and committed defender, and he has grown dramatically as a ball-handler and playmaker. He is worth his price tag when healthy.

Klay Thompson: $40,600,080

Klay Thompson is another member of the Golden State Warriors that was rewarded handsomely for his role in winning NBA championships. However, unlike Curry, Thompson has been heavily limited by injury. He remains a knockdown shooter with the smoothest form you will see, but he has definitely lost a step. He is a fan favorite, so many are hoping for a return to form for the well-paid shooter.
