Football is fun to watch for a lot of fans thanks to star players. Legends come and go, with new players ready to step in and take their place. When they move on, a new breed of stars will soon come into the game with a keen eye for success in the sport.

Tom Brady, Patrick Mahomes, Dak Prescott, and many other names have made history in the National Football League. However, this era of football is coming to an end, and a lot of young stars are on the rise once more with immense talent showing off on the big stage.

Fans who go for Sportsbet NFL bets know that there is always someone to look out for in every team in the league. The rising stars have always shown a lot of potential when it comes to their games, and this is why it is easy to expect that they will take their time in learning before showing off and taking over.

Here are the top three rising stars in the NFL:

Justin Herbert

Justin Herbert is one of the most hyped rising stars in the league. The Los Angeles Chargers quarterback has been moving up in the history books as he continues to break one record after another. Herbert recently pulled off 30 of his 43 passes for 245 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in their narrow win against the Atlanta Falcons.

Selected in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft with the sixth pick, Herbert has grown well with the team and is leading the resurgence for the Chargers so far. He was awarded the Pepsi Next Rookie of the Year and NFL Honors – AP Offensive Rookie of the Year in his rookie run. At the age of 24, Herbert remains a promising QB to look out for.

Mac Jones

Set as the next Tom Brady for the New England Patriots, there is indeed a lot of pressure on Mac Jones to live up to the hype. The Pats did pick well in the 2021 NFL Draft with the 15th overall selection, and Jones paid them back by leading them to a playoff berth in the same year. That led him to earn Pro Bowl honors and was named to the 2021 PFWA All-Rookie Team.

Jones is still trying to set the tone for his campaign with the Pats. While the recent managerial changes have affected his performance in running the offense, Jones has learned well to put up with the new offensive plan. This was seen in their Week 9 win against the Indianapolis Colts, where he pulled off 20 of his 30 passes for 147 yards and a touchdown.

Trevor Lawrence

Trevor Lawrence has lived up to the hype even before the 2021 NFL Draft. He was rated as a five-star recruit and was praised as one of the best prospects of all time. So far, he has led the team to big strides, especially in his rookie year. While he finished second in rookie passing yards next to Mac Jones at 3,641, Lawrence had a league-high of 17 interceptions among rookies.

Lawrence was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars as the first overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. He has proven his worth to the team so far and has been the starting QB since his rookie run.

The future of the NFL is in good hands

With a lot of talent rising in the NFL, you can say that the NFL’s future is secure. Even if Brady or Mahomes decides to call it a career, fans can be sure that there will always be more stars who will come into the fold and dominate the league. This is what makes Sportsbet NFL betting even more fun to enjoy than usual.
