Are you a degenerate gambler? Perhaps you’re someone who picks games against the spread just for fun and to see how smart you really aren’t? If this describes you, or if you just like to be entertained by a crazy sports columnist, you’re in luck, because you’ve stumbled across Against All Odds: NCAA and NFL Picks, a weekly post from the start of the football season, all the way to the Super Bowl, where me, Mike Drakulich (PSN), the man behind Pittsburgh SportsNation, takes on my father, Michael J. Drakulich (MJD), in picking NCAA and NFL games against the Vegas line! Check out the Draftkings welcome offer to see how you can win big and find many bonuses.

I cover both the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pitt Panthers during the season for the fabulous NGSCSports.com!

Normally, we always include the local teams here in Western Pennsylvania, which are Pitt, Penn State, West Virginia, and the Pittsburgh Steelers among our weekly picks. This gives me the chance to take shots at the opposing teams I really dislike, enraging certain readers, and adding delight to my busy weekends.

All in all, both my dad and I are pretty good at picking these games, but don’t take our word for it. You’re on your own when you place your bets, so don’t blame us if you lose… but you can share your winnings with us if you wish.

Itchy vs Scratchy. Black Spy vs White Spy. Cheers vs Gary’s Old Towne Tavern. History is full of rivalries, but none are better than father vs son! Who will rise above the other this season and become the 2021-22 Against All Odds Champion?

Against All Odds: NCAA and NFL Picks

Week 19

Another week has been entered into the books, and as usual for me, it wasn’t a superb one. I did manage to go 3-3 after starting off 2-0, and somehow trimmed two games off my dad’s lead, as had it even worse at 1-5.

So, with just three weeks left, I have two goals to achieve… one is to finish above .500, and the other is a miracle comeback vs my dad, who has a four game lead with a 91-85 record.

Four games this week and we are opposed on all of them… this could get interesting!

NFL Divisional Playoffs

Saturday, January 22nd

#4 Cincinnati Bengals (11-7) at #1 Tennessee Titans (12-5)

Game Time: 4:30 PM at Nissan Stadium, Nashville, TN.

Vegas Line: Tennessee -3.5

The Pick: PSN: Tennessee | MJD: Cincinnati

Derrick Henry is back, and that should provide a huge boost to the Titans, who may be the most unheralded #1 seed in recent memory.

Last week vs the Raiders, the Bengals finally tasted a playoff win for the first time in 30 years. Despite the rise of Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase, they won’t be getting a second bite a week later. Tennessee is as healthy as they have been all season, and they will be motivated to turn Cinci into the Bungles once-more.

#6 San Francisco 49ers (11-7) at #1 Green Bay Packers (13-4)

Game Time: 8:15 PM at Lambeau Field, Green Bay, WI.

Vegas Line: Green Bay -6.5

The Pick: PSN: Green Bay | MJD: San Francisco

The 49ers are a tough bunch, but the party ends this weekend at Lambeau… Aaron Rodgers has too many weapons and he is primed to go after one more Super Bowl ring as a Packer.

Sunday, January 23rd

#4 LA Rams (13-5) at #2 Tampa Bay Buccaneers (14-4)

Game Time: 3:00 PM at Raymond James Stadium, Tampa Bay, FL.

Vegas Line: Tampa Bay -3.5

The Pick: PSN: LA Rams | MJD: Tampa Bay

Every time I have gone against Tampa, Tom Brady and the Bucs have stuck it to me… that streak ends as Aaron Donald will be an unstoppable force, and Matt Stafford will rise to the occasion again, and end Tampa’s run to back-to-back Lombardi’s.

#3 Buffalo Bills (12-6) at #2 Kansas City Chiefs (13-5)

Game Time: 6:30 PM at Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas City, MO.

Vegas Line: Kansas City -1.5

The Pick: PSN: Buffalo | MJD: Kansas City

Kansas City had their way against a rebuilding Steelers team last week, but they won’t be as fortunate this week, as they face a Buffalo team that murdered New England last week. It just looks as if this is Josh Allen and the Bills year, and not even Patrick Mahomes, Tyreek Hill, and Travis Kelce will do score enough to stop them.

PSN: Last Week: 3-3 | Overall: 87-89    -4   (.494)
