The NFL will release the 2021 regular-season schedule on May 12. There are a few eye-catching possibilities for Week 1 primetime games that NFL fans can dream of right now. Here are a few possible Week 1 primetime games.

Buffalo Bills @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Thursday Night 8:30 PM.

The Super Bowl Champion typically hosts the season opener on Thursday Night of week one. Though the improved Dallas Cowboys are another possibility, the thought of the AFC runner-up playing against the Super Bowl Champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers in an epic showdown would be far more electrifying. These teams can score at will. It would be exciting to see Tom Brady, Antonio Brown, and Mike Evans go against Josh Allen, Stefon Diggs, and John Brown to kick off the season.

Cleveland Browns @ Kansas City Chiefs- Sunday Night 7:00 P.M.

Perhaps the thought of Cleveland traveling to Lambeau Field to face the Packers is starting to fade away due to Aaron Rodgers’ desire to be on a different team. The NFL could present fans with a nice primetime game in a historical venue anyway. The Browns have a chance to settle the score after a heartbreaking defeat in Kansas City in the Divisional Round. Cleveland fans still remember the controversial no-call from an obvious helmet collision that could’ve changed the outcome and sent the Browns to the AFC Championship. Still, the Browns have a defense that’s on another level and they get the chance to prove just how good they are against the versatile Kansas City offense that has -playmakers Patrick Mahomes, Tyreek Hill, Clyde Edwards- Helaire and Travis Kelce. Can the new Browns JaDaveon Clowney, John Johnson III, and Greg Newsome help slow this unit down?

Seattle Seahawks @Arizona Cardinals Sunday Night 10:00 P.M.

Perhaps an AFC West Showdown would be a great late-night game. Seattle is a safe bet to make the playoffs again while the Arizona Cardinals added playmakers on offense and defense. JJ Watt and Rondale Moore provide a spark to the Arizona Cardinals and will help make this team a playoff contender. Don’t sleep on Arizona. This team is up and coming.

Jacksonville Jaguars @ New York Jets Monday Night 8:30 P.M.

Can we please get the NFL to schedule a primetime game featuring the rookie quarterback showdown? What a way to end the first week! Let’s see Trevor Lawrence against Zach Wilson! It would be a whole lot of fun.
