UMBC, Vermont Earn Men's #AEHoops Sweeps. Hartford and Lowell Split.

BOSTON – #AEHoops rolled on last weekend as four series were completed. UMBC and Vermont earned series sweeps on the road as the Retrievers took two games at New Hampshire and the Catamounts swept Binghamton. Additionally, Hartford and UMass Lowell split their set while Maine and NJIT each took a game in their series. Full Schedule/Results

Stony Brook, which ends its program pause this week, sits atop the conference standings at 4-0, followed by UMBC at 5-1. Hartford and Vermont are tied for third place at 5-3.

Five series are currently scheduled for the weekend with UAlbany hosting NJIT, Binghamton entertaining UMass Lowell, Hartford heading to UMBC, New Hampshire visiting Stony Brook, and Vermont hosting Maine. Any schedule changes will be announced on Twitter @AEHoopsNews.

Player of the Week
Ryan Davis, Vermont – Jr., Forward, Schaumburg, Ill.

Averaged 17.0 points and 9.5 rebounds in only 23.5 minutes per game to lead Vermont to a sweep of Binghamton.
Shot 61 percent from the floor (14-of-23).
Had 25 points and 11 rebounds in Vermont on Saturday.
This is Davis’ first career #AEHoops Player of the Week honor.

Rookie of the Week
Blondeau Tchoukuiengo, New Hampshire – R-Fr., Guard, Montreal, Quebec

Had 10 points and two assists on Saturday.
Averaged 6.0 points and 2.0 assists last week.
This is Tchoukuiengo’s second #AEHoops Rookie of the Week honor of the season (11/30).
