Week 6 of the 2026 NFL season delivered seismic shifts across both conferences. From dramatic overtime comebacks and late-game kickers to division leads changing hands and preseason contenders falling into deep holes, Sunday’s action redefined the playoff landscape.
NFC Contenders & Crises: Packers Defense Dominates, Rams Spiral
Green Bay Packers 23, Dallas Cowboys 13
The Green Bay Packers (4-2) extended their winning streak to three games while plunging the Dallas Cowboys (2-4) deeper into crisis. Packers quarterback Jordan Love threw for 276 yards and a 9-yard touchdown pass to Matthew Golden—who finished with 104 receiving yards—while adding a 1-yard touchdown run. Green Bay’s defense stifled Dallas, intercepting Dak Prescott twice (courtesy of Evan Williams and Brandon Cisse) and holding the Cowboys scoreless in the first half for the first time since 2021. Prescott went 34-of-54 for 258 yards, throwing a late 6-yard touchdown pass to Ryan Flournoy, but Dallas failed on the two-point conversion and spent the night plagued by 11 penalties for 108 yards.
Arizona Cardinals 18, Los Angeles Rams 16
The Los Angeles Rams fell to 2-4 after a crushing division loss at SoFi Stadium. Kicker Chad Ryland converted six field goals for Arizona, including the game-winner following an unnecessary roughness penalty on Los Angeles late in the fourth quarter. Cardinals quarterback Jacoby Brissett completed 24 of 35 passes for 218 yards, targeting tight end Trey McBride seven times for 53 yards. Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford threw two touchdown passes and finished with 222 yards, while Puka Nacua hauled in six passes for 80 yards. However, star receiver Davante Adams limped off with a fourth-quarter leg injury, leaving the Rams’ postseason aspirations in severe jeopardy.
Chicago Bears 31, Atlanta Falcons 23
Returning from a three-game hamstring absence, Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams delivered an elite performance at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Williams opened 10-for-10 for 122 yards and a touchdown to rookie tight end Colston Loveland, propelling Chicago to a 14-0 start and finishing 30-of-36 for 305 yards and a 111.2 passer rating. After Chicago built a 31-7 lead, Atlanta quarterback Michael Penix Jr. sparked a furious fourth-quarter rally with two touchdown passes to Kyle Pitts and a pair of two-point conversions. The comeback ended when Chicago cornerback Kyler Gordon recorded his third sack of the game, forcing a strip-sack fumble recovered by Devin Bush to preserve the victory.
AFC Elite & Division Battles: Chiefs Stay Flawless, Browns Grab First Place
Kansas City Chiefs 22, Los Angeles Chargers 6
The Kansas City Chiefs improved to 5-0, remaining the NFL’s sole undefeated team. Running back Kenneth Walker III spearheaded the ground game, churning out 128 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Patrick Mahomes added 272 passing yards, while Steve Spagnuolo’s defense held the division-rival Chargers to six points without permitting a touchdown.

Cleveland Browns 13, Baltimore Ravens 10
The Cleveland Browns (4-2) took sole possession of first place in the AFC North after a walk-off victory against the Baltimore Ravens. With Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson sidelined, Tyler Huntley started for Baltimore (19-of-31, 165 yards, 1 TD), but Cleveland held running back Derrick Henry to 58 yards on 17 carries and forced a Henry fumble. After newly signed running back Audric Estimé tied the game on a 2-yard touchdown run, Deshaun Watson (16-of-26, 164 yards) hit Jerry Jeudy for a 33-yard gain on third-and-5 to position kicker Andre Szmyt for a walk-off 37-yard field goal as time expired.
Pittsburgh Steelers 26, Tampa Bay Buccaneers 19 (OT)
Aaron Rodgers guided the Pittsburgh Steelers (4-2) back from a 13-point fourth-quarter deficit at Raymond James Stadium. Trailing 16-3 entering the fourth, Rodgers completed 17 of 22 passes for 153 yards and two scores down the stretch, finishing 33-of-49 for 253 yards. In overtime, Rodgers engineered a 6:45 drive culminating in a 6-yard game-winning touchdown pass to rookie wideout Germie Bernard, who posted 11 catches for 87 yards. Cornerback Jalen Ramsey registered 10 tackles and two sacks, including a fourth-and-8 sack on Tampa Bay quarterback Jalon Daniels to seal the win.
High-Stakes Thrillers & Milestones: Bills Survive Raiders, Patriots & Titans Surge
Buffalo Bills 33, Las Vegas Raiders 30
In a high-scoring battle at Allegiant Stadium, the Buffalo Bills (4-1) outlasted a furious second-half rally by the Las Vegas Raiders. Josh Allen threw for 255 yards and two touchdowns, while running back James Cook chipped in 36 receiving yards. Despite Buffalo losing defensive back C.J. Gardner-Johnson to an unsportsmanlike conduct ejection late in the second quarter, the Raiders’ offense pushed the Bills to the final seconds behind tight end Brock Bowers before Buffalo secured the game-ending stop.
Houston Texans 34, Jacksonville Jaguars 31
At Wembley Stadium in London, Houston kicker Ka’imi Fairbairn drilled a 49-yard field goal as time expired to lift the Texans (2-4) over Jacksonville (4-2). C.J. Stroud threw for 312 yards and three touchdowns, connecting with newcomer Marvin Harrison Jr. three times for 34 yards and running back Woody Marks for 56 rushing yards. Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence threw four touchdown passes and 306 yards, and kicker Cam Little tied the game at 31-31 on a 60-yard field goal with 1:55 remaining, but Stroud drove Houston into field goal range to clinch the international thriller.
New England Patriots 26, New York Jets 19
New England (4-2) won its fourth consecutive game against the New York Jets behind a sharp outing from Drake Maye. Maye went 18-of-32 for 235 yards and three touchdowns—including a 42-yard score to Romeo Doubs and a 7-yard strike to Hunter Henry—surpassing 8,000 career passing yards. New England’s re-tooled offensive line did not allow a single sack against New York’s pass rush, while cornerback Charles Woods picked off Geno Smith in the fourth quarter to preserve the victory.
Tennessee Titans 26, Indianapolis Colts 20
The Tennessee Titans captured their first win of the season by scoring 26 second-half points to capitalize on multiple Indianapolis turnovers. Rookie quarterback Cam Ward struggled with consistency (11-of-22, 102 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT), but showed rapport with rookie receiver Carnell Tate, who caught six passes for 70 yards and a touchdown. Tennessee’s defensive takeaways inside Colts territory flipped momentum and snapped a five-game losing streak.
Thursday Night Recap: Denver Broncos 17, Seattle Seahawks 14 (OT)
Denver (4-2) kicked off Week 6 with an overtime victory over the defending champion Seattle Seahawks. After Seattle rallied from a 14-3 fourth-quarter deficit behind a 1-yard touchdown run from George Holani and a two-point conversion catch by Rashid Shaheed, Denver cornerback Ja’Quan McMillian intercepted Sam Darnold in overtime. Kicker Wil Lutz then booted a 53-yard field goal to seal the win.
Depth Chart Shifts & Week 7 Outlook
Key Roster Movements & Injuries
- Chicago Bears: Caleb Williams’ return stabilizes Chicago’s backfield, while cornerback Kyler Gordon’s three-sack performance reinforces a defensive unit that forces crucial late turnovers.
- Los Angeles Rams: Davante Adams’ fourth-quarter leg injury adds to offensive mounting concerns, leaving Matthew Stafford with limited downfield targets ahead of Week 7.
- Baltimore Ravens: Tyler Huntley remains under center until Lamar Jackson returns from injury, placing added weight on Derrick Henry and the ground attack against upcoming divisional opponents.
Looking Ahead to Week 7
With the Cleveland Browns holding a division tie atop the AFC North and the Kansas City Chiefs standing as the league’s remaining undefeated club, Week 7 will test whether struggling preseason favorites like the Cowboys and Rams can halt their downward slide or if newly emerging contenders will consolidate their division leads.
