WWE brings one of its most unpredictable events to New Orleans on Saturday, October 10. Money in the Bank 2026 takes place at the Smoothie King Center. The show begins at 6 p.m. ET. The event features two Money in the Bank Ladder Matches and a major World Heavyweight Championship fight. Roman Reigns will defend against LA Knight in one of the night’s biggest matches. Meanwhile, six men and six women will fight for championship contracts. Oba Femi and Bronson Reed will also collide in a battle between two destructive heavyweights. Each match carries a different story. However, the ladder matches could reshape WWE for the next year.
Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match
Bron Breakker, Je’Von Evans, Trick Williams, Penta, CM Punk, and Kevin Owens make up the men’s field. Breakker became the first man to qualify on September 7. He defeated Rey Mysterio and Ethan Page in a Triple Threat Match. Breakker finished Mysterio with a Spear to secure his trip to New Orleans. Je’Von Evans joined him one week later. Evans defeated Austin Theory and Big Cass in another Triple Threat Match. He delivered the OG Cutter to Cass and scored the decisive pinfall. Trick Williams punched his ticket on the September 18 edition of SmackDown. Williams defeated Randy Orton and Rey Fenix to earn his opportunity. Penta’s journey included an unexpected twist.
Solo Sikoa originally held a place in his qualifying match. However, Royce Keys, Bronco Nima, and Lucien Price abducted Sikoa before the match. Raw General Manager Adam Pearce inserted Penta instead. Penta then defeated Dominik Mysterio and Dragon Lee to qualify. He finished Mysterio with a springboard Mexican Destroyer. CM Punk secured the fifth position on September 25. Punk faced Gunther and Finn Bálor in another qualifying Triple Threat Match. Bálor hit Gunther with the Coup de Grace. However, Punk capitalized and pinned Gunther to steal the victory. Finally, Kevin Owens claimed the sixth position on October 2. Owens battled Cody Rhodes and Johnny Gargano on SmackDown. Randy Orton interfered and prevented Rhodes from breaking Owens’ pin on Gargano. Therefore, Owens secured the final men’s position. This field offers power, experience, athleticism, and plenty of potential chaos.

Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match
The women’s match also features six very different competitors. Sol Ruca, Lola Vice, Jacy Jayne, Roxanne Perez, Lash Legend, and Tiffany Stratton comprise the field. Ruca became the first woman to qualify on September 7. She defeated Lyra Valkyria and Maxxine Dupri after Bayley disrupted Valkyria’s opportunity. Ruca eventually hit Valkyria with the Sol Snatcher and earned the victory. Lola Vice followed on September 14 during her Raw in-ring debut. Vice faced Raquel Rodriguez and Kelani Jordan. Rodriguez accidentally connected with Jordan while attempting a kick. Vice immediately capitalized and pinned Rodriguez. Jacy Jayne earned her position on September 18. The Women’s United States Champion defeated Jade Cargill and Alexa Bliss. Cargill hit Bliss with Jaded.
However, Jayne knocked Cargill away and pinned Bliss herself. Roxanne Perez joined the field three days later. Perez defeated IYO SKY and La Catalina on Raw. She caught SKY with Pop Rox and secured the victory. Lash Legend earned the fifth position on September 25. Legend faced Charlotte Flair and Giulia on SmackDown. She prevented Giulia from pinning Flair before delivering the Lash Extension. Tiffany Stratton claimed the final spot on October 2. Stratton defeated Candice LeRae and Tatum Paxley. She delivered the Prettiest Moonsault Ever before pinning LeRae. Stratton also brings valuable experience into this match. She won the 2024 Money in the Bank contract before eventually cashing in successfully.

Roman Reigns vs. LA Knight
Roman Reigns will put the World Heavyweight Championship on the line against LA Knight. Their rivalry developed after SummerSlam. Knight confronted Reigns and demanded an opportunity at the championship. Reigns dismissed Knight’s request and argued that Knight had not earned a title match. However, their problems continued through Knight’s involvement with Solo Sikoa. Reigns eventually hit Knight with a Superman Punch during the escalating situation. Then, Knight made his biggest statement after Reigns faced Penta in Mexico City. Reigns successfully defended his championship against Penta on September 14. Knight appeared after the show and dropped Reigns with the BFT. Raw General Manager Adam Pearce made their Money in the Bank match official the following day. Now, Knight gets his opportunity to finally capture his first WWE world championship. Reigns enters New Orleans trying to maintain his position atop Raw.
Oba Femi vs. Bronson Reed
Money in the Bank will also feature a heavyweight collision between Oba Femi and Bronson Reed. Their issues developed through Femi’s involvement with Je’Von Evans and The Vision. On September 21, Femi helped Evans fight off The Vision. That confrontation included Reed and Bron Breakker. The tension continued before Femi issued Reed a direct challenge on September 28. Reed accepted, setting up their showdown in New Orleans. Neither man needs a ladder or championship to make this match interesting. Femi brings incredible power and explosiveness. Meanwhile, Reed specializes in overwhelming opponents with his size and physical style. Something will have to give when these two finally collide.
Who Leaves New Orleans with the Briefcases?
Money in the Bank always creates possibilities beyond the event itself. Winning the briefcase gives a superstar a championship opportunity during the following year. That makes both ladder matches difficult to predict. Punk and Owens bring enormous experience into the men’s match. Meanwhile, Breakker might bring the most dangerous combination of power and speed. Evans and Penta could provide some of the night’s wildest ladder moments. Williams also enters as a legitimate threat after defeating Orton and Fenix. The women’s match looks equally unpredictable.
Stratton already knows how to win this match and successfully use the contract. However, Perez brings championship experience and tremendous confidence. Ruca and Legend possess incredible athletic tools. Vice and Jayne could also capitalize when opportunities appear. Money in the Bank rewards timing almost as much as talent. One climb can change an entire career. That possibility makes Saturday night in New Orleans one of WWE’s most important events this year. By night’s end, two superstars could hold WWE’s most dangerous bargaining chips.
I am looking forward to Money in the Bank this Saturday.
