Charlie Woods continues to build his own golf identity while following a familiar path. The son of Tiger Woods has signed with TaylorMade as a sponsored athlete. That relationship dates back to 2024. The partnership creates another connection between Charlie and his legendary father. Tiger has enjoyed a long relationship with TaylorMade since joining the company in 2017.
However, Charlie’s story with TaylorMade began before he reached college golf. He already had a strong connection with the company through junior golf. Charlie won the 2025 Team TaylorMade Invitational. That victory became one of the biggest wins of his young career. He finished the 54-hole event at 15-under par. That performance helped Charlie make a major jump in the junior rankings. He eventually climbed into the top 25 of the Rolex AJGA Rankings.
His TaylorMade connection also extends directly to his equipment. Charlie currently carries several TaylorMade clubs in his bag. According to a 2026 Golfweek equipment breakdown, Charlie uses a TaylorMade Qi4D driver. He also carries TaylorMade fairway woods and irons. His setup includes P·770, P·7CB and P·7TW irons. He also carries TaylorMade MG5 Tiger Woods Grind wedges.
Charlie even uses a TaylorMade Spider V putter and TP5 golf ball. That equipment setup shows just how closely his game connects with the company. More importantly, Charlie has used some equipment associated with his father. His P·7TW irons stand out because Tiger helped TaylorMade develop that model.
That connection gives the partnership an obvious family storyline. Still, Charlie has started creating a reputation separate from his father. Tiger first joined TaylorMade in 2017 through a multi-year equipment endorsement. The agreement covered his driver, fairway woods, irons and wedges. The partnership eventually grew into something much bigger. In 2024, TaylorMade and Tiger launched the Sun Day Red lifestyle brand.
That brand includes apparel and footwear. It also represents another major chapter in Tiger’s business relationship with TaylorMade. Charlie has also appeared in Sun Day Red gear alongside his father. The father-son duo wore matching Sun Day Red clothing and shoes during the 2024 PNC Championship. Those moments have helped create a unique connection between the Woods family and TaylorMade.

Yet Charlie’s own golf career continues to move forward. In February 2026, Charlie announced his commitment to Florida State University. He plans to join the Seminoles for the 2027 season. Florida State landed one of the most recognizable junior golfers in the country. Charlie also will join top junior golfer Miles Russell in the program’s recruiting class.
Before making that decision, Charlie had already experienced significant success. He helped The Benjamin School win a Florida state championship in 2025. Charlie also shot a team-best 68 during the championship. Those results added another impressive achievement to his growing resume.
His equipment relationship with TaylorMade also makes sense from a performance standpoint. Charlie has spent years using the company’s clubs while competing against top junior golfers. In 2026, he provided fans with an extensive look inside his golf bag. The video showed just how much TaylorMade equipment he carries. Interestingly, Charlie does not simply copy his father’s equipment choices.
For example, the younger Woods has used different putter designs from Tiger. He also adjusts his club setup based on course conditions. That approach shows Charlie’s willingness to develop his own style. At the same time, the TaylorMade relationship gives him access to a company with tremendous experience. Tiger’s history with TaylorMade also provides an obvious family connection.
Tiger helped develop the P·7TW irons before winning his fifth Masters in 2019. TaylorMade also credits him with influencing its Tiger Woods Grind wedges. Charlie now has the opportunity to create his own equipment legacy. He still has plenty of work ahead of him. College golf will provide a much different challenge than junior competition. The expectations will also remain enormous because of his last name. Every tournament will bring comparisons to Tiger. His equipment choice will receive attention. Every strong performance will create another round of headlines.
Still, Charlie has shown that he can handle that spotlight. His TaylorMade relationship represents more than simply another sponsorship. It connects the next generation of Woods golf with one of the game’s biggest equipment companies. Tiger built his TaylorMade relationship after becoming one of golf’s biggest stars. Charlie has started his relationship while still developing his game. That difference matters.
Charlie does not need to become Tiger Woods to make the partnership successful. Instead, he needs to continue improving and establish his own identity. For now, TaylorMade remains an important part of that journey. The company’s equipment sits inside Charlie’s bag. Its history also runs through his father’s career. As Charlie prepares for Florida State and eventually professional golf, that connection could become even more significant. The Woods name already carries enormous weight in golf. Now Charlie has another opportunity to show what he can do with it.
I like that Charlie Woods signed with Taylor Made golf.
