Wernet's Pitching Masterclass Extends Arabia Winning Streak to Four

Guillian Wernet allowed only one hit and struck out five in 6.0 innings, to lead the Arabia Wolves to a 7-2 victory over the Karachi Monarchs.

Wernet was pitching a no-hitter until the sixth inning, when Karachi’s CF Jake Pérez ended it after hitting a single to right field. He threw a total of 66 pitches, 41 of which were strikes, with only one walk (Pavin Parks).

Kristian Scott (1.2 IP, 1 H, 2 ER, 3 BB) and Reese Miller (1.1 IP, 3 SO, one Fire Ball scored) completed the pitching line for Arabia.

As for the offense, Paul Myro went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run; Jacob Teter went 2-for-2 with one RBI, and Jacinto Cipriota went 1-for-4 with two RBIs. The Argentine player has four RBIs in the last two games.

This was the fourth consecutive victory for the Wolves (4-2), who will begin a key series against the Mid East Falcons tomorrow in a doubleheader.

Max Jung-Goldberg went 1-for-4 with a two-run double, as the standout man in the Karachi offense.
Kolby Kiser took the loss after 3.0 IP, where he allowed five hits, one home run, three earned runs, two walks, and struck out five.
