Week Six: Aliquippa Quips (3-2) at West Allegheny Indians (2-3), 7:00 PM
Aliquippa quarterback Marques Council was out, and the Quips couldn’t overcome his loss and the performance of New Castle’s Marino Graham, who accounted for all three of his team’s touchdowns, defeating the Quips 18-12 in week five.
The Quips will try to rebound on the road at West Allegheny this Friday night.
Council, if he returns this week, has thrown for 831 yards, seven touchdowns, and four interceptions.
Wide receiver Josh Lay leads the Quips with 21 catches for 405 yards and one touchdown, with Qa’lil Goode 2nd on the team with 12 receptions for 266 yards and three touchdowns. Joseph Work has rushed for 286 yards and three touchdowns.
West Allegheny quarterback Donovan O’Connor has 447 yards passing, six touchdowns, and five interceptions.
Teagan Tomei leads the team with 10 catches for 153 yards.
Broadie Cornell has rushed for 220 yards, while catching nine passes for 179 yards. Roman Perella has rushed for 196 yards, and Jacob McNabb has 163 yards on the ground.
