As football fans many of us were disappointed with the Super Bowl that was just played because of how the game went. The Super Bowl is supposed to be the two best teams in the NFL. This has not been the only game that has either been a blowout or just a bad game for one team or both. There have been 59 Super Bowls and despite the blowouts, there have been great games and classics that we all will remember. I will rank my top ten and remember that most of them will be after I was born in 1983 so any of the games before that year will probably not make the list.
- Super Bowl XXV New York Giants 20, Buffalo Bills 19
This Super Bowl took place at Tampa Stadium at the time was the home of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Since then, the Buccaneers have moved to Raymond James Stadium. This was the first of four straight Super Bowls for the Buffalo Bills. Out of all their appearances, this was the closest the Bills came to winning the Super Bowl. The Giants had a backup quarterback Jeff Hostetler who replaced an injured Phil Simms. It came down to a field goal by Scott Norwood that he missed wide right, and the Giants won the game. My first reaction was wow, did that just happen? But it would become an ongoing question for the Bills fans. When was is going to be their turn to win the Super Bowl.

- Super Bowl XXXIV St. Louis Rams 23, Tennessee Titans 16
This was a great game as well and it was close. This was the first time that we saw “The Greatest Show on Turf” offense that the Rams had. It was a great story with both quarterbacks in the game Kurt Warner and Steve McNair. Warner struggled to get into the league, and it took a tenure in the Arena Football League to get a chance in the pros. It took a chance by Rams head coach Dick Vermeil who also was getting a second chance. He was the one that was supposed to help the Philadelphia Eagles get back on the winning track. It just did not go the way. The Rams took an early lead, and it was the play of Steve McNair that brought the Titans to within one yard of tying the game, but they fell short.

- Super Bowl XLIII Pittsburg Steelers 27, Arizona Cardinals 23
Here was another game that involved quarterback Kurt Warner who was near the end of his career. Just like with the Rams, he came to the Cardinals and brought them out of the dark days. On the other side of the field was a great Steelers team. This game took place at Raymond James Stadium. There were multiple big plays in this game two for Pittsburg and one for Arizona. The one for the Cardinals was a long pass from Warner to Larry Fitzgerald that nearly brought them back. The first of the two big plays was a 100-yard plus interception return for James Harrison in which Harrison was gassed going into the locker room for halftime. The play that solidified the game for the Steelers was the catch by Santonio Holmes in which he miraculously got both his feet down and gave them a championship.

- Super Bowl XXXII Denver Broncos 31, Green Bay Packers 24
Up to this game, many great quarterbacks had not won a Super Bowl. One of those was John Elway and the Denver Broncos had many chances to win one. It took Elway to the end of his playing career to not only one but two. Both teams in this game had multiple Hall of Famers. Along with Elway, the Green Bay Packers had Brett Farve. Farve had one big game earlier in his career. A play to remember in the game was when Elway was diving forward and hit was hit in mid-air and helicoptered before landing. It was great to see him get what great players deserve a chance to hold the Lombardy Trophy.

- Super Bowl XLI Indianapolis Colts 29, Chicago Bears 17
This is the first game that weather played a factor in the game with the rain in Miami, Florida. This was another game that had many stories with it. It started with a kick return for a touchdown by Chicago Bears KR Devin Hester. In the history of the game, he is the only player to ever do that. For the Colts, it was the great Peyton Manning winning his first of two in his career. The other story was for Indianapolis head coach Tony Dungy. Dungy was coaching the Buccaneers and could never get them to the big game. It was great to see Dungy and Manning get a victory in the big game.

- Super Bowl XXXVII Tampa Bay Buccaneers 48, Oakland Raiders 21
Remember the story about Tony Dungy not getting the Buccaneers to the Super Bowl? Tampa Bay brought in Jon Gruden from the Oakland Raiders to take over for Dungy. Many say that Gruden won with Dungy’s team and that he knew how to beat the Raiders. This also brought eyes to the Tampa Two defense that was created by Monte Kiffin. That defense made Rich Gannon look silly and the Buccaneers went on to win their first championship.

- Super Bowl XXXVI New England Patriots 20, St. Louis Rams 17
This was the first of six championships for the New England Patriots. The Patriots were marred by “Spygate”, but they were able to stop the Rams’ unbeatable offense. This was a close game, and it came down to a young Tom Brady. Brady led New England down the field to get Adam Vinatieri in position. Vinatieri made the field goal and beat the Rams to give the Pats a big upset win.

- Super Bowl XLIX New England Patriots 28, Seattle Seahawks 24
In most of the Patriots’ Super Bowls, they had a great play go against them. This was the first time it finally went their way. The play did not come on the offensive side of the ball, and it came to seal the game. The Seahawks had a catch by Jermaine Kearse that set them up to win the game. Seattle had Marshawn Lynch in the dominant backfield. Instead of handing the ball off to Lynch, they threw, and the ball was intercepted by Malcolm Butler. This won the game for New England. Quarterback Tom Brady won the Super Bowl MVP and got a truck, and he gave it to Butler. This was one of the biggest turnovers in the history of the Super Bowl.

- Super Bowl LI New England Patriots 34, Atlanta Falcons 28
This was the other Super Bowl in which a great play went the way of the New England Patriots. They fell behind the Atlanta Falcons by 23 points in the middle of the third quarter. Most fans including myself said the game was over while I was at a party my friend told me to stay something special was about to happen. She ended up being right after Brandon Spikes sacked Matt Ryan and forced a fumble and the game completely changed. Tom Brady led the Patriots to the biggest comeback in Super Bowl history as they defeated the Falcons in overtime. This came after Julian Edelman made was of the craziest catches in the championship game.

- Super Bowl LV Tampa Bay Buccaneers 31, Kansas City Chiefs 9
Earlier, I said I did not like a blowout in the Super Bowl, but this one is in that position because of personal reasons. My dear mom was one of the biggest Buccaneers fans and I remember the day she told me that Tom Brady was coming to Tampa, and I thought that was crazy. Well, he did and in his first year he led the Bucs to the big game and they were the first to host the game. Tampa Bay dominated the Chiefs. I am not afraid to admit that I was bawling my eyes out after the game was over because I know my mom was super happy and watching from heaven.
