Capitalizing On Rain Delay, Sportface Raids Press Buffet

As the skies darkened and rain poured, forcing a college football game rain delay, sports blogger Sammy Sportface took the opportunity to raid the press room breakfast buffet.

Three times within 30 minutes he went through the line and packed his plate mainly with piles of bacon strips along with a mound of muffins and a shovel full of some sort of egg souffle foo foo dish.

“Nothing better than a rain delay to plow through the buffet line multiple times,” said Sportface. “If every game has a rain delay from now on, I would be good with that because, after all, I’m here mainly for the free food.”

The game was scheduled to resume in about an hour or three. Sportface took the opportunity to go downstairs and hit the concession stand for a large Domino’s Pizza and bag of caramel corn the size of an Army duffel bag.

“As long as we get unlimited oatmeal raisin cookies at halftime, I’m fine with this game not re-starting until mid-night. The concession stand will remain open all day as my go-to back-up.”
