Did you know that the Detroit Lions are one of only four teams in NFL history to win four consecutive games after starting 0-5? That’s right, the Lions have defied the odds and turned their season around with a remarkable run of victories. The Lions are here to stay and are not a team you want to bet against. Here’s why.

The Lions have a talented and resilient roster

The Lions may have few household names or superstars on their roster, but they have plenty of players who can impact both sides of the ball. On offense, they have quarterback Jared Goff, who has led several comeback wins.

They also have running back Jamaal Williams, who has scored two touchdowns in his last two games, and wide receiver Kalif Raymond, who has emerged as Goff’s favorite target.

On defense, they have linebacker Alex Anzalone, who leads the team with 97 tackles, cornerback Amani Oruwariye, who has three interceptions this season, and defensive end Charles Harris, who has eight sacks and two forced fumbles.

These players have overcome injuries, adversity, and criticism to stay competitive and improve every week.

The Lions have a new and promising coaching staff

One of the biggest reasons for the Lions’ turnaround is their new head coach Dan Campbell. Campbell has brought a new culture of toughness, accountability, and optimism to the locker room. He has inspired his players with his fiery speeches and his genuine care for them as people.

He has also assembled a coaching staff with experience and expertise in their respective areas. They include; offensive coordinator Anthony Lynn, defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn, and special teams coordinator Dave Fipp.

The Lions have a favorable schedule and division

Another reason you should never bet against the Lions is their remaining schedule and division situation. The Lions have four games left on their schedule: at Denver Broncos (6-7), vs Arizona Cardinals (10-3), at Atlanta Falcons (5-8), and vs Green Bay Packers (8-6).

The Broncos are inconsistent and vulnerable at home; the Cardinals are struggling with injuries; the Falcons are mediocre at best; and the Packers may rest their starters if they clinch their division by then. On the other hand, the Detroit Lions could win three or even four of these games if they play as they did against Green Bay on Monday night.
