Are you a degenerate gambler? Perhaps you’re someone who picks games against the spread just for fun and to see how smart you really aren’t? If this describes you, or if you just like to be entertained by a crazy sports columnist, you’re in luck, because you’ve stumbled across Against All Odds: NCAA and NFL Picks, a weekly post from the start of the football season, all the way to the Super Bowl, where me, Mike Drakulich (PSN), the man behind Pittsburgh SportsNation, takes on my father, Michael J. Drakulich (MJD), in picking NCAA and NFL games against the Vegas line! Check out the Draftkings welcome offer to see how you can win big and find many bonuses.

I cover both the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pitt Panthers during the season for the fabulous NGSCSports.com!

Normally, we always include the local teams here in Western Pennsylvania, which are Pitt, Penn State, West Virginia, and the Pittsburgh Steelers among our weekly picks. This gives me the chance to take shots at the opposing teams I really dislike, enraging certain readers, and adding delight to my busy weekends.

All in all, both my dad and I are pretty good at picking these games, but don’t take our word for it. You’re on your own when you place your bets, so don’t blame us if you lose… but you can share your winnings with us if you wish.

Itchy vs Scratchy. Pepsi vs Coke. Black Spy vs White Spy. Cheers vs Gary’s Old Towne Tavern. History is full of rivalries, but none are better than father vs son! Who will rise above the other this season and become the 2022-23 Against All Odds Champion?

As we delve deeper into the season, both my dad and I are heating up.

Both of us went a respectable 6-4 in week ten, so for the season, we’re both at or above .500 and looking to keep rolling– well, me hopefully more than he does.

As we head into week eleven, I am now at 47-43, god enough for a two game lead over dad.

Week 11

Against All Odds Lines as of 11/10/2022

NCAA

Saturday, November 11th

Pitt (5-4) at Virginia (3-6)

Game Time: 12:00 PM at Scott Stadium, Charlottesville, VA.

Vegas Line: Pitt -4.5

The Pick: PSN: Pitt | MJD: Pitt

Pitt’s defense really stepped up their game last week, and should keep that trend going vs a weak Virginia squad. Hopefully Kedon Slovis can find a way to get the passing game going and the offense some much needed points.

Oklahoma (5-4) at West Virginia (3-6)

Game Time: 12:00 PM at Mountaineer Field, Morgantown, WV.

Vegas Line: Oklahoma -8.5

The Pick: PSN: WVU | MJD: WVU

WVU pretty much sucks, but Oklahoma is having a brutal year by their standards. The Mountaineers may not win, but they will cover at home.

Maryland (6-3) at #14 Penn State (7-2)

Game Time: 3:30 PM at Beaver Stadium, University Park, PA.

Vegas Line: Penn State -10.5

The Pick: PSN: Penn State | MJD: Maryland

Penn State gets a better opponent than they usually beat up on, but should be good to win by more than double digits vs the Terrapins.

Louisville (6-3) at #10 Clemson (8-1)

Game Time: 3:30 PM at Memorial Stadium, Clemson, SC.

Vegas Line: Clemson -7.5

The Pick: PSN: Louisville | MJD: Clemson

Louisville isn’t playing too bad right now, and Clemson is coming off a beating at the hands of Notre Dame. The Tigers should win, but the Cardinals will keep it closer than you’d expect.

#9 Alabama (7-2) at #11 Ole Miss (8-1)

Game Time: 3:30 PM at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, Oxford, MS.

Vegas Line: Alabama -12.5

The Pick: PSN: Ole Miss | MJD: Ole Miss

Alabama now has two losses and got clipped by LSU in overtime last week.

NFL

Sunday, November 12th

Detroit (2-6) at Chicago (3-6)

Game Time: 1:00 PM at Soldier Field, Chicago, IL.

Vegas Line: Chicago -3.5

The Pick: PSN: Chicago | MJD: Chicago

Justin Fields has been lighting it up in the Fantasy World, and that has the Bears playing better. Chicago gets the win and the cover at home.

Denver (3-5) at Tennessee (5-3)

Game Time: 1:00 PM at Nissan Stadium, Nashville, TN.

Vegas Line: Tennessee -3.5

The Pick: PSN: Tennessee | MJD: Tennessee

Denver just isn’t that good, and they will keep their miserable season going down the drain thanks to the legs of the Titan’s beast Derrick Henry.

Jacksonville (3-6) at Kansas City (6-2)

Game Time: 1:00 PM at Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas City, MO.

Vegas Line: Kansas City -9.5

The Pick: PSN: Kansas City | MJD: Kansas City

Kansas City should have no problem carving up the lowly Jaguars in this one at Arrowhead.

Cleveland (3-5) at Miami (6-3)

Game Time: 1:00 PM at Hard Rock Stadium, Miami Gardens, FL.

Vegas Line: Miami -3.5

The Pick: PSN: Miami | MJD: Miami

The Fish under Tua have been on fire offensively. Helps to have Tyreek Hill, too… Miami takes care of business and all but kills any hopes the Browns have on salvaging this season.

New Orleans (3-6) at Pittsburgh (2-6)

Game Time: 1:00 PM at Acrisure Stadium, Pittsburgh, PA.

Vegas Line: New Orleans -2.5

The Pick: PSN: Pittsburgh | MJD: Pittsburgh

T.J. Watt returns and his very presence should lift the Steelers defense to wreaking some havoc vs Andy Dalton and the Saints.

PSN: Last Week: 6-4 | Overall: 47-43  .522   —

MJD: Last Week: 6-4 | Overall: 45-45  .500    -2
