LOS ANGELES- For the second consecutive year, the hosting city of the Super Bowl could be home field the Super Bowl Champion. Last year it was the Tampa Bay Buccaneers winning it all in Tampa Bay. Will the Rams do the same in Los Angeles against the Cincinnati Bengals?

The Bengals weren’t the favorites at all in the AFC. One year after the season went downhill following quarterback Joe Burrow’s season-ending injury, the Bengals are in the final showdown. As crazy as it may sound, this team has a very good chance to steal the show and sound the Los Angeles crowd home in tears. Burrow and receiver Ja’Marr Chase look like the best dynamic duo in the NFL. It looks too easy considering they were teammates on LSU. Having that same chemistry at the NFL level isn’t an easy task but don’t tell that to Burrow and Chase. The Bengals offense continues to show how scary they are with Burrow, Chase, Tyler Boyd, Tee Higgins, and running back Joe Mixon. This unit is only going to get better with experience and an improved offensive line once the general manager adds some key players to protect Burrow and give Mixon an edge as well. We’ll see just how good this unit is because the Rams defense will bring the heat. 208 words

Speaking of chemistry, Rams Quarterback Matthew Stafford developed it early with his teammates despite only being on the team for one year. The same can be said for receiver O’Dell Beckham since he wasted no time getting involved in the Rams game plan shortly after the Browns released him. The Rams passing attack with Beckham and Cooper Kupp will give the balanced Bengals defense fits early on. Perhaps Bengals safety Jessie Bates will slow down the Rams passing game. This is a game in which the Bengals defense has to be ready. The Bengals got a small taste of what kind of offense they’ll go up against after winning against the Chiefs.

The Rams won’t make it easy though. Aaron Donald knows this Bengals offensive line has its struggles and he will take advantage of it. Will Burrow sense the pressure and be willing to take shorter completions? Burrow will need to adjust on the fly.

While Stafford may need to be aware of the Bengals excellent pass coverage and be careful about taking unnecessary chances against tight man coverage. The Bengals defense ranked 17 in the NFL last season but that was because the run defense wasn’t very effective. This group knows how to play excellent against the passing game.

Get ready for your parties, order your pizza and wings and get ready for this wild showdown. Feel free to upgrade your televisions too.

The Store Bowl is next Sunday, February 13 at 6:30 p.m. Eastern Time. It will be broadcast on NBC and Telemundo.
